The Prophet
I can't believe people would turn their noses up at Boyd if his wages were reasonable.
Guest Stephen927
On a free it would be great business. Personally wouldn't go over £30k a week in wages with him, but I have no idea what he's on now and what kind of offers he'd get elsewhere. He's pretty one dimensional but knows exactly how to hit the back of the net, he's got that instinct you can't teach.
gdm
He's only scored 3 goals in Europe, his record against Celtic is crap. All in all he can score goals against teams that are borderline championship level

Neil
I know man, just a point about the dross in the league. I don't think you should rule out Boyd on a free, not by a long shot.

TaylorJ_01
and that would be great if we played them every week Alright, who do you suggest that is a proven goalscorer and will be capable of consistenly getting goals against the top ten? Oh, and costs next to nothing? We need a player to score against the dross in the league because that's where we will pick up our points! I couldn't care less if we can get a striker who'll score a couple against Man United or Chelsea. If we don't have someone who is happy to consistently bang them in against the bottom ten then we will struggle immensely next season.
Guest MrSundlofer
Lars Jacobsson, manager at Halmstad in the Swedish Premier Division says English clubs are after the signature of young winger Marcus Olsson. Twin of Martin Olsson, Blackburn Rovers. He's fast and has a good work rate. Something for Newcastle? He will be cheap. http://www.fotbolldirekt.se/files/stories/media/images/martin.jpg Martin Olsson (left) and Marcus Olsson (right).

Segun Oluwaniyi
Neither of them look anything like Simpson, Routledge, Best, or Hall, though Theo Walcott is actually a good shout though. I'm astounded that someone has insinuated that Hughton prefers to sign other lightly-tinted black players.
