A goalkeeping error and a fantastic strike and we're 2-0 down. In general play we've been miles better than them IMO. I think we've been very sloppy all over. Don't think they've played brilliantly, but have been clinical when necessary. They seem to have been at Newcastle's goal four times and scored twice. We've had numerous chances and missed the lot. Hard to see where the goals are going to come from without Lovenkrands on the pitch, especially with the BC centrebacks doing pretty well in the air and therefore nullifying Carroll. Oh I'm not denying we've been sloppy, far from it. I just fail to see what they've done so brilliantly in open play other than work their socks off. Guthrie really should have put that away at the end, Leon Best should be taken out into the woods and shot repeatedly. FYP. I still think we're in this like. We've been better in general play than in some games this year, as Dave said if we get an early goal in the 2nd half I'd fancy us to go on and get something from the game.
