Chelsea have signed a defender who plays for the second worst defence in the league. Blackburn are hovering about the relegation zone (3 points above QPR), would they not take Hoilett or Samba, or even Yakubu? That's not to mention Cisse has been the second highest scorer in the Bundesliga the past two seasons. Love the bloke on the second page who says that "In reality, they will finish below us. If not this year, then next." In my experience, from visiting other football websites and speaking to fans of other clubs, we get quite a good wrap (probably due to the fact we're a relatively big team that's in no danger of winning anything any time soon ) but even more bizarrely there's not much love for Sunderland. Considering they're a club with such a bland recent history I assumed that many people would struggle to give a fuck but no, a lot of fans seem to dislike them. They managed to get 7th in the league and gave the world Kevin Phillips. Not to mention the difference in the cities. So it's easy to see where their jealousy and inferiority complex comes from - Newcastle is just miles better than Sunderland in almost every category.
