Liverpool Prepare to Swoop for £12m Newcastle Defender

http://www.sportsvibe.co.uk/news/football/liverpool-prepare-to-swoop-for-12m-newcastle-defender-11845/?

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is set to step up his pursuit of a new defender and is preparing a move for Newcastle United centre back Fabricio Coloccini, according to reports on Caughtoffside.com.

Since taking charge back at Liverpool last season Dalglish has already raided Newscatle for striker Andy Carroll and Jose Enrique.

The 29-year-old, Argentina international has been one of Newcastle's stand out players so far this season as the side are currently fourth in the table and still unbeaten having only conceded six goals in the opening eight games.

It now seems that the Kop boss is going to target the Magpies again when the transfer window opens in January by making an approach for Coloccini who is valued at £12million.

As well as losing Carroll and Enrique, Newcaslte lost other big name players during the course of the summer including Joey Barton and Kevin Nolan, and manager Alan Pardew will not want to lose another one of his prized assets.

I really wish Liverpool and Dalglish especially would just fuck off.  Vile, horrible club with rancid supporters and an overbearing delusional sense of their own importance which is fuelled by half the moron pundits on TV having their tongues lodged firmly in some very unsavoury places.

I would honestly burn Anfield to the ground. Nothing story anyway though so it's alright.

Well that's three of us. Genuinely think I'd cry if those scumbags got him, too. As Rev says, though, not going to happen.

Dalglish's Liverpool are showing a pattern of flavour-of-the-month signings. Colo has been getting a lot of positive attention in the press recently, and sure enough, Liverpool get linked.

Maybe we could all chip in and pay some journalists to big up Smith and Perch.  £30m for the pair of them would be nice.

Disco should be a journo (seriously and no offence, not all of them are wankers), don't know anyone who follows so much 'obscure' football.

 aye those double world cup winners and their league are certainly an obscure bunch.

Newcastle Plan £4million Bid for Espanyol Defender

http://www.sportsvibe.co.uk/news/football/newcastle-plan-4million-bid-for-espanyol-defender-11870/

Espnayol midfielder Javi Marquez has emerged as a January transfer target for Newcastle United who have enjoyed a superb start to the season and currently sit in fourth place in the league.

Manager Alan Pardew has assembled a superb squad which has flourished at the start of the campaign and he is keen to continue the momentum by further strengthening the squad in January.

Marquez, who can operate in central midfield or in the centre of defence, has in impressive form in La Liga and is attracting interest from a trio of Premier League clubs with Everton and Wigan also interested in signing the 25-year-old.

However, it is believed that Newcastle are the club most likely to make an offer and could well offer £4million for the Spaniard in the New Year.

The Catalan club are under pressure to balance their books and Newcastle know that should they make an acceptable offer then it is likely that Espanyol will be forced to sell there experienced midfielder.

Marquez has been a regular for Espanyol in the last two seasons after progressing through the youth set up and has once again looked impressive this season.
