madras
Freiburg still bottom of the league? Can't decide if that would help us or not. He's the one to get them out of trouble, but his fee can strengthen the squad. can;t see him leaving till the summer unless they get an impossible to turn down offer. They've pretty much said as much. He signed a new contract at the start of the season to ensure he stays for the season, but then allowing him to leave in the summer, or something along those lines. Not another Nile Ranger please.
Dave
Yet he is also a troubled character from a difficult background. He pleaded guilty to two counts of witness intimidation last year and was sentenced to a 12-month referral order and ordered to pay costs and compensation of £1,445. He has also suffered from disciplinary problems at United, where the admiration for his talent is matched by frustration at his failure to consistently apply it by turning up to training. Sounds just what we need after the success story that was Nile Ranger.
Tiresias
I dunno, is it worth the hassle if he isn't reforming? Don't think he can be as good as they once claimed if they're selling him.
ponsaelius
He really is the midfield version of Nile Ranger. Very highly rated mind.
madras
sign him up and get him to change his name to lee and all will be ok. what do you expect, poor kid being brought up with a name like that.

Tiresias
I dunno could be a gamble worth taking though, could get a wunderkid on the cheap...
Geordie Ahmed
If Fergie can't control him what is the chance that Pardew will sort him out? Then again maybe a move away from home will sort him out
Dave
From earlier (ie Wednesday). Rio Ferdinand @rioferdy5 Close Certain kids need their heads banging, they don't see what they got within reach, if only they FOCUSED 100%. Fix up, Make It Count. Some Mancs think this was a direct reference to him.
Tiresias
Maybe Cabaye can take him under his wing...Or he'll fall in with Ranger... I'd say no, unless he really is very very good. Too many players like this never work hard enough to actually apply their talent though, and we seem to have such a good ethic that wouldn't want it disrupted. Tiresias
It has to hurt the young players at Man U to see Scholes back playing in FA cup etc where they'd usually get a chance. Wouldn't be too shocked to see a house clearing if they're not good enough. p.s. ok yes trying to tick the thread over to 1000 pages I admit it
Wil
Would be an interesting aquisition! Sounds pretty definite we're in for him. Was being bandied around the radio tonight that he was being stupid not signing a new contract at Man U + they quoted Rio Ferdinand tweets etc. Might be worth a gamble, if he craps out...... move him on. Likely to be the way the hierarchy are looking at it. Not sure how he'll fit into our team ethic though!
Tooj
He's meant to be quality, but if he can't keep his head down at Man Utd, then we've got no chance.

Tiresias
I think he probably needs a run in a first team if anything is going to get him straightened out. We're not likely to give him that I would have thought.
Ikon
We're interested in Shaqiri according to The Sun, yeah right, very likely. In theory, imagine him and Ben Arfa on each side of Ba

Tiresias
Suspect he's one of those, was great in two tv games, some idiot buys him and he's rubbish player who does well once or twice a season. So yes kinda expect us to try and buy him
