Cajun
Bridge isn't the cheap option, he would cost us £4.3m per year as opposed to Pieters at £3.6m plus the opportunity to sell him a recover a lot of it. As much of an idiot as Ashley obviously is I doubt he sees £4.3m for a player for one season and absolutely no chance to recoup anything as the "cheap option". Disco
Looking to get a Gk in according to Ryder on Twitter. It's holding up the Forster deal. Shame they didn't think about that when Jose left.

If true, which is very questionable, what a disgrace.

thomas
The one area of the pitch where we literally do not need to be looking to add any more??? Even with Foster at Celtic and Harper crocked ? Soderberg or Alnwick on the bench, sure. Edit: my shock/opposition to it is on the assumption Green would move here to start. If he came in as backup - and why would he, is what I'm asking - I wouldn't mind.

taxfree
So that will be money spent on a GK as well? Less money on players we need then.
ExiledGeordie
Ash & Derek making a mug out of Pardew at the moment and Pardew mugging himself off with his endless drivel about players being signed. Double mugging off efforts
AyeDubbleYoo
They're making it sound as though Pardew is the one pushing for Wayne Bridge. The same idea was intimated with supposed interest in Carlton Cole in the last window. If this is true I'm happy that the Derek and Ashley are so involved in th etype of players we bid for. Seems Pardew might be another one of those English managers that would do anything for the infamous prem experience player, regardless of how poor the players might be. Pretty scary really. That's a massive assumption based on absolutely no credible evidence. FFS, we have enough to worry about without making stuff up.
