Unbelievable, well why make it hard on yourself by flogging our only leftback without having a replacement sorted!!!

Shock! Horror!

Well Alan, you know, have you considered that it may have been more sensible to, you know, make sure you have a replacement in place for the left back position before, you know, releasing the only recognised player in that position at the club. No? You're just a poor little sex pest bullied by your employers you say? I feel, Alan, I feel.

You would think it was rocket science wouldn't you, just tell Liverpool to piss off and wait until we get our replacement through the door. Still this was obvuiously a totally unexpected situation for the club to be in, no way they could have forseen Enrique wanting to leave, so you have to cut them a bit of slack :p

Time and time again they manage to outdo themselves

We need an "incompetent mong" football meme

i suggested an ashley meme a while back, bit like scumbag steve but for a football club owner

limited audience mind, limited to this message board most likely

Well we can't use money as an excuse.  Pard the pleb came out and said some of the £35m from the Carroll sale was put aside incase Enrique leaves, so with that and the enrique money we should be fine. . . . .

But again, it is just total lies. . . .

One con job after another with this lot...nobody is asking us to spend beyond what we've brought in, just bring in the absolute necessary players at this point which means a left back and a number 9. That's without going into our CB situation which teeters on disastrous with an injury to 1 player.

Pardew said: "Everybody knows we need a left-back and it's being made difficult, not by us, but by other clubs and we have to get over that.

"It could be that something gets done before the game, but I don't think I would include him even if it did because this game is a game you need to know about and you need to be prepared for."

Striker

The Toon are also struggling to acquire a striker. One of their targets, Sochaux frontman Maiga, is currently on strike to unlock a move away from his club.

Pardew said: "There's a lot of stuff coming out about him being on strike and we can't condone that.

"But in terms of us, we have put a bid in for the player and he is a player that we want to bring to the club.

"That's where that is and negotiations are still ongoing."

Everyone seems to be quite quick to jump on the Bridge is Sh*t bandwagon.  I havent seen him play for a good couple of years but the West Ham fans i know reckon he was Turbo Sh*t for the first month while on loan there but after a few games played quite well.
