Nobody
http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/130343.html?CMP=OTC-RSS Newcastle the latest to eye swoop for Hoilett Harry Harris, ESPNsoccernet January 11, 2012 ESPNsoccernet understands Newcastle United could be set to lodge a bid for Blackburn Rovers winger Junior Hoilett. Hoillet, 21, has impressed for Blackburn this season, despite the club's poor form that sees them bottom of the Premier League table. It has been reported that interest in the Canada international is mounting - with Blackburn alleged to be open to a deal, aware they could lose the forward for nothing in the summer when his contract expires. The likes of Tottenham have been mentioned as potential suitors, and now Newcastle appear to have joined the race to acquire his signature. A source told ESPNsoccernet: "Newcastle might be the club who make a move for Hoilett, that is the buzz around Blackburn at the moment." Such is Blackburn's financial plight that the club need to sell before attempting to add to their squad, and an asking price of around £7 million for Hoilett could pave the way for additions. But it's not going to happen

ponsaelius
7m? contracts up in the summer isnt it? should get him for less than that £7 million is the estimated compensation they will get so it makes no sense for them to let him go now. Guest Roger Kint
Not sure Hoilett would get more than Sturridge mind, maybe £4m with extra's or something. Still wouldnt be worth selling now for what he could give over the next few months for Blackburn though.

Stifler
I'd love Hoilett here. However I doubt the club have the ambition to go for him and I doubt they would be prepared to pay for him either. He can pretty much cover central midfield, the wings and also up front if needed.

Stifler
He can't cover central midfield at all. I reckon he can. Last season he dieted into the centre for Blackburn quite a bit and he did pretty well.

ponsaelius
As a CM in our 4-4-2? Absolutely nee chance tbh. The bloke is allergic to working off the ball. Complete waste of his talents playing him there.

Stifler
As a CM in our 4-4-2? Absolutely nee chance tbh. The bloke is allergic to working off the ball. Complete waste of his talents playing him there. Off the ball he is crap, but I think thats because he is naturally an attacking player, not a box to box player. When I say in the centre I would pretty much mean similar to what Ben Arfa is, more of a link up player or a player supported by others who will do the defensive work for him. As you say, in a 4-4-2 he's pretty much got no chance, in a 4-4-1-1 he does though, or even a 4-5-1.
Tiresias
If there's interest I suspect it's from Jonas' dropping off, club probably pondering about bringing in someone to compete for that position. personally I'd love a 4-2-3-1 with cabaye hoilett and ben arfa all sitting behind ba. plenty of goals there. Doubt it though, Hoilett is much like Ben Arfa in that will do little off the ball work, and while think we can have one player in the team like that, having two would be completely contrary to what we're trying to do. Stifler
We have been linked with him for a while though, I think our time has passed on him, last summer was pretty much our last chance in my opinion.
Sifu
Leaving us with? Don't know why some seem happy to reduce our already small squad. Exactly. I've said this many times before, Simpson isn't that bad and I'm happy for him to continue to be first choice for the foreseeable future.
