£60 million transfer profit in Ashleys' time in charge ?

That is a hell of a transfer profit in the time Ashley has had ownership of the club.

During the same period the support has held up well, the wage bill has been slashed and from next season United will be back to recieving substantial TV payments.

The amount made available for incoming transfers should be reasonably good, 25 million or so at a rough guess.

Amazing no one bought the club last season when these sort of profits were to be had in just two years. Mark Fenwick must be kicking himself today as things have turned out.

He's gone from a £30m loss to a £60m profit in two years during which time we were relegated and lost £50m in revenue?  Amazing that like, some would say its completely unbelievable and in fact total bollocks

To be fair the thread title only refers to transfer profits - not the losses the club as a whole has made. Even so I'm struggling to see where a figure like £60 million comes from. Anyone know how that has been calculated?

Didn't realise he was talking about transfers since nowt is mentioned about that in the title.  That's almost worse really since we can all see how much has been spent and brought in through transfers (within a few million either way anyway).

We've brought in about £75m from transfers and spent about £56m.

It would be stupid to look at a transfer profit in isolation, even if we had made £60 million.  Threads like this just make people look daft when they start them.
