buzza
"They didn't indulge him", that's exactly what they did do as it made great headlines and the more they poked the bigger they came. "Attacks on Barcelona as an attack on Spain", in the current climate I don't think you will find many people backing that statement as Barcelona are making large noises regards separation via a referendum not unlike our Scots neighbours.... Yeh, I agree he fell out with a few of his squad but I think that is due to the fact that the players thought they were more powerful than him, always has been the case in the Madrid dressing room, notoriously difficult to handle. He does talk twaddle but a hell of a lot of it is very sincere and often touches a nerve. I actually think it's quite refreshing from the regurgitated cliche ridden soundbites that 95% of managers spit out. We will have to agree to disagree on Jose... P.S. Bet you would take him in an instant over Percy???
Parky
He has his own brand of mind games. In England we pick up on its playfulness...
STM
I like him but I dont take him too seriously. Fergy was the master of the whole mind games business, it wasn't half as funny though.
Parky
He got bored in Spain that much is clear. Prefers the PL and seems much more his old self here.
The College Dropout
Eh? That's one of the reasons why the Spanish didn't like his Barcelona attacks. Like us and the Olympics, France and WC '98 the success of the national team is an example of unity and working together as part of a larger more successful nation. But i'm going to stop now, you're obviously a die-hard fanboy if you're trying to twist the facts.
buzza
Die hard fanboy? lol... But for a decent perpsective, I can argue that living here for 16 years helps undrstand Spanish football, the press and culture a little better. I do think he was given an extremely hard time over here in Spain by the press. I also think that the press over here don't concentrate on football enough but more the whole glamour and gossip side of these "celebrities". Prefer the english sports press any day of the week....! Dokko
He's a character in a play and loves it. I think the premiership is better for him being here, certainly for entertainment purposes.
Guest Howaythetoon
The reason the media and fans in general lap him up is down to how utterly boring the PL is outside of a few matches and to be fair, who can blame them. He's a character and is good value really. Mind, I personally can't stand the mind games, politcis and bull shit in general but with Mourinho its not like he's an absolute cunt despite how he sometimes comes across, he is a genuine footy man with more passion than most. Give me him over the twats like Hughes, Allardyce et al.

Guest Howaythetoon
I have actually been very impressed with Chelsea lately, they are different to his last Chelsea side, they actually play some really neat and intricate football at times, but with all the solidity and ruthless methodical efficiency of a typical Mourinho side. You can see why Mata, as talented as he is, didn't feature much in this Chelsea side.

The Catalans really aren't that interested in the rest of Spain and there seems to be an enduring suspicion from the other side as well.
Pixelphish
I've always quite enjoyed watching Mourhino's Chelsea teams. Brutally effective more often than not.

Crumpy Gunt
I'm fucking sick of seeing the cunt on SSN every time I switch it on. I do wish he'd fuck off and find better things to do. I do wish that SSN would stop licking his fucking arse to fill air time. First SSN story on the hour starts with the words "Jose Mourinho thinks. . . " Really? Who gives a flying fuck what he thinks you suck holing bastards. I'm delighted I don't pay for this shite.
Parky
Mou can't believe it. Never played football. Learnt how a few charts work and who stands where...Boom! 10m a year at Real. Nice.
Village Idiot
You could kind of say that... During the past years Barcelona was the preferred club for most Spaniards, so no, you can't say that. Whenever you think Spain, you have to always make an exception for football. The backbone of the team that gave Spain its first WC was made of Barça players. Iniesta in particular has spent years being clapped off the pitch whenever he's subbed. So Mou picked a wrong target. Mourinho was a culture shock, club officials and players here are expected to behave gentlemanly with the opposition. Even if the press or fans themselves are c***s. The Madrid press laughed it along while the results were good. But once they weren't... I don't care that much about he said about us (heck, it made Real Madrid a better heel stable), but he behaved like an utter c*** against any opposition, and even with some of his subordinates (the way he threw the B team manager *publicly* under the bus because he wasn't using his same tactics, or how he ostracised Pedro León...) Al Moody
If supposedly he (Arsene Wenger) is right and I am afraid of failure it is because I don't fail many time. He is specialist because eight years without silverware is very long. If I do that with Chelsea, I leave and I don't come back.

BillClinton
An easy thing to say when you get to spend 100 million every summer.. It's nearly to the point where I'd rather have Liverpool win instead of Chelsea.
LRD
He's really in the mood now that Chelsea are settled. Been flooding his title rivals with mind games recently.
jdckelly
I hate the term "mind games" what a fucking load of crap. Like players or managers are crying or going to change what they do because one classless bastard says some bullshit. Media has a lot to answer for on this.
