I can't remember seeing so much sanctimonious shite in one place, as there is here.  What can't you understand about fans booing an opposition player that they don't like?  Am I to believe that SJP never sees opposition players abused in any way?  Surely booing is the least abusive.  I'd boo Evra long and ever before the Suarez thing, I can't stand the man, dislike the way he plays and dislike his conduct on the pitch.

 

As for all the condemnation of the fans and manager.  First you might have asked yourself why they've been acting the way they have.  You might have asked why Evra was allowed to say on French television the night after,  that Suarez called him 'n****r' 10 times, only to say later he'd misinterpreted it and 10 times was just a figure of speech. 

 

Suarez says he called Evra 'negro/negra' once, he told the match referee that after the match,  he told the commission that, and anyone else who had an official interest.  It wasn't racist to him, as it wasn't to Evra's Spanish speaking team mates, who called him the same name themselves, even Evra is known to use it.

 

As there was no concrete evidence it came down to one mans word against another's.  The Liverpool team, manager and fans chose to believe that Evra didn't tell the truth, just as the commission chose to believe Evra did tell the truth.  I really can't see what peoples problem is with that? If the FA had punished Suarez for the word he used, even though not meant racist, and give him a warning and a two game ban I'd go along with it, but to believe totally one mans word against another, and then punish him with an 8 game ban just because of that man's word, is a joke in my eyes. 

 

And that is regardless of whether it's to do with racism or anything else.

 

You've always seemed like a decent lad but if there's too much sanctimonious shite in here then kindly just remove yourself from the situation. Personally I'm absolutely fed up with the arrogant, pig headed 'avoid an apology at all costs because we don't want to lose our best player' way your club has handled this. Liverpool have made a remarkable bid to swap Andy Carroll with Carlos Tevez and move on their club-record £35m signing not even a year after signing him from Newcastle United.

 

The Anfield club contacted City on Thursday to ask how much they want for Tevez and whether they would be willing to contemplate a straight exchange with Carroll. A racist thug who aimed a “monkey” gesture at Manchester United’s Patrice Evra was last night being hunted by police.

He was caught on camera at Anfield during yesterday’s heated FA Cup 4th round tie.

The vile pose – posted on Twitter – was condemned by Liverpool fans, many of whom had brought anti-racist banners along to the match.

It came amid tension as the two clubs met for the first time since Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was given an eight-match ban for racially abusing defender Evra.

 

The “monkey’ incident came after 23 minutes of the highly charged match, which Liverpool won 2-1 to reach the fifth round.

Captain Steven Gerrard hit a shot over the bar as Evra closed him down before the camera panned to the fans where the thug, among Liverpool supporters but not wearing club colours, makes his gesture. Police immediately launched an investigation.

Sources at Anfield said he faces a lifetime ban if caught.

Match Commander Chief Supt Jon Ward said: “Specialist officers are reviewing match footage as a result of a picture posted on Twitter.

“This matter is now under investigation by specialist hate crime detectives and we are working with Liverpool Football Club to identify the man.”

Mr Ward added that there were two arrests during the policing operation and 17 fans – mainly from Manchester – were ejected for spitting on the ground and abusing stewards.

The unknown racist was widely condemned from fans of all sides on Twitter last night.

Bob Stone posted: “If a Liverpool fan was making monkey gestures, it should be condemned by everyone.

“Not acceptable and casts an ugly shadow over a great day.”

Louise Wain agreed: “Liverpool fan making monkey gestures...disgraceful human being.”

Arsenal fan Andy Wood said: “Hope Liverpool FC find the moron who was making monkey gestures and ban him for life. One presumes he never celebrates a Glen Johnson goal?”

Fans on Liverpool FC’s website also criticised the man.

 

A fan calling himself Liver-01 said: “His actions should equal a life ban and nothing less.

“Especially after how much the pressure is on our club in recent times and how the reputation is being affected.” TheRealSheepHead said: “There were always going to be some insignificant amoeba’s bringing the names of both clubs into disrepute.

“That intellectual midget making the monkey gesture can prepare for his life-long banning from Anfield.”

Before the game both managers had called for calm.

Sir Alex Ferguson wrote to all Man Utd fans travelling to Anfield calling for them to behave.

The United boss asked for the fans to offer “positive, witty and loud” support.

And in the match programme Liverpool’s Kenny Dalglish said: “Clearly, passions always run high when the clubs play against each other but as far as we are concerned this is a football match and not about any other issue. We don’t need any sideshows.”

I think what he's getting at is Liverpool's disgusting way of handling it has basically told the even more retarded than usual section of Liverpool support that it's okay to do things like that prick up there in the picture. Through the t shirts, the conspiracy theories, the persecution complex, they're essentially telling the fans that they can do whatever they want and expect that they shouldn't get in trouble. And that's what's pissed me off the most about this. Liverpool's non-action towards their own player's racism has effectively opened the floodgates. Let's not forget shit like Twitter warriors 'facing' up to Collymore since this. Such a disgusting club, one of the few I would genuinely smile at if it ever went over. Fuck the club, fuck the fans.
