Cardiff want to turn south Wales-based Liverpool fans away from the Premier League club and support their local team instead. The two sides meet in the Carling Cup final at Wembley on 26 February. Look how wins against the two Manchester clubs recently has completely masked the awful result and performance at Bolton and other equally awful performances at Klanfield. Dirk Kuyt testified that Suarez has told him in Dutch he'd said "Because you are black", which Suarez says must have been another 'lost in translation' thing. Dalglish told the referee that Mr Suarez responded with “you are black” having first been taunted with ‘you are South American’, contradicting Suarez saying he only ever said "Why, black?". Liverpool's evidence is what changed it from being one man's word against another. It means the side isn't shit in an absolute sense, which is certainly something. Yet, you're clearly doing something wrong if you can regularly beat/draw with the top sides in the division but struggle so badly in the supposedly easy games. Not restricted to scousers, it's Liverpool fans in general. I have three close friends, Liverpool supporters, all think Evra is a cunt, Suarez, victimised. Evra *is* a cunt (it was he who kicked off the French revolt at the last World Cup). Not that this somehow means the FA ruling was wrong. I get and admire the whole unconditional support of your club thing, but extending that to the people who own/run/play for the club is neither admirable nor sensible. It's a tourny for those born after Jan 1st 1993, so most teams have been playing 17/18-year olds. It turns out that we played a couple of foreign 15-year-olds in early rounds, but didn't realize that they were automatically considered minors and thus were technically ineligible. Apparently if they were English it would have been OK. Anyhoo, the story is that Liverpool had worked this out ages ago and sat on the information. They only raised it to us after we beat them, whereupon we informed the NextGen guys immediately and withdrew. A silly mistake on our part, but fair enough, and I'm glad we did the right thing. It just seems a bit sneaky that Liverpool only said this after playing us, when it seems that they knew about it weeks ago. It was a card that they kept up their sleeve, knowing that they could let us beat whoever, but if we played them they were guaranteed to go through. Hearsay of course, but there you go. They said the 2 players were older than they should of been, it is an under 19 tournament. Spurs won 1-0. A few days later Spurs themselves realised they had played 2 players who were allowed in the earlier round, but were now to old, and withdrew from the tournament,they issued a statement saying so, and have wished Liverpool luck in the competition. That was the first Liverpool knew of it. However........what they did say is that, Liverpool are only in the tournament, because Everton, who apparently won the league for that age group last season, declined to take part, as they didnt want to pay the costs etc. Well there was 2 journalists talking, the other one thought Liverpool had an invite anyway before everton dropped out. I havent even heard of this tournament, but there saying Liverpool will play Barcelona in the semi final, so there getting fucked anyway Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
