If we win today, it wouldn't surprise me if his first start was against Spurs on one of the wings.

I dont think he'll ever play on the wing under AP

I just think he'll find it easier to drop Obertan first before Best or Ba.

Possibly, although i think Obertan is going to be a big part of his plans simply due to his pace. And if he continues his form from the last two games, then it would be tough to drop him. Personally, I think it will be Best who makes way, with Ba up top with HBA behind him.

Great to have such options though.

His ball to Bestie which the latter blasted over the bar had me creaming.

I don't see him as a striker at all though, he needs to play behind the front two in a more free role and playmaker.

That ball was from Cabaye.

There were two significant misses from Best blazed over or wide, one of those balls came from Ben Arfa.

I keep hearing this about Henry being a dirty player, but apart from a stupid vendetta against Barton I can safely say I've not noticed him as a player.

Broke Zamora's leg with a tackle didn't he? Make of that what you will.

Was similar to when Parker broke Bullard's mind...Zamora's wasnt his fault atleast as a point of malice, still dirty mind, just he isnt good enough for this level in general

Few comments on Ben Arfa from some ex team mates from Lyon and Marseille, after HBA departure from both clubs. Just to say that he didn't let bad souvenirs only :

FROM LYON :

Boumsong, January 2009 : "His attitude may seem incorrect, by clumsiness rather than by malice. (...) Hatem does not cheat, he is neither vicious nor hypocritical. It's a good guy, misunderstood and should understand, too, the other. To him to produce efforts. the boy, endearing, is to take as he is. " http://www.sports.fr/cmc/scanner/football/200905/ol-quand-boumsong-evoque-ben-arfa_212899.html

Bodmer, Feb. 2009 : "Hatem is a friend, we spent much time together last year. He is described as characterial but when you made the effort to know him, he's endering. He is sentimental, emotional and walk to the need to feel loved. But I trust him: he has the character and qualities to win in Marseille" http://www.omplanete.com/news-6556/bodmer-ben-arfa-est-attachant.html

Toulalan, May 2009 : "This is one of the best players I've seen. He is a genius." http://www.laprovence.com/actu/toulalan-ben-arfa-a-du-genie

Kallstrom, March 2010 : "He is the most talented player I've seen. But sometimes badly express his talent. With us he was impressive for several months. After two seasons at Marseille, he looks more mature on and off the field. he had a very hard going but he came back. I'm happy for him because it's a nice guy with a big heart. " http://www.omplanete.com/news-11048/kallstrom-ben-arfa-le-plus-talentueux.html

Robert Valette, his formator at Lyon describing HBA when he came, very young, from Clairefontaine academy : "It is a curious boy, but not a bad guy. When he arrived, he was already a football player, not a teenager. There was nothing around the player. Then, educators, as his family, have shaped a footballer, not a man (...). He had no sense of hierarchy, nor the respect due to the function of age. He spoke to everyone as his neighborhood buddies " http://www.footmercato.net/ligue1/om-le-cas-ben-arfa-decrypte-par-ses-anciens-partenaires_46959

FOM MARSEILLE :

Abriel, Aug. 2010 : "I think he's better as a playmaker behind the strikers, than in the wings. I wish him "to explode" () because he is the most gifted player that I've seen in the squad " http://www.foot01.com/equipe/marseille/ben-arfa-a-ete-mal-utilise-selon-abriel,58072

Cheyrou (his best friend at Marseille)Sept. 2010 : "Too bad it goes like this. I'm happy for him he found a club. I hope he will enjoy, but this has not gone well before and it did not give a good image in the end on each side. But I'm not here to judge the attitudes of the club and Hatem, although I have my opinion on it." http://www.mercato365.com/infos-clubs/marseille/om-be-cheyrou-laquo-qu-hatem-se-regale-raquo-126509.shtml

Fahid Ben Khalfallah, player at Bordeaux, who never plays with him but summarize perfectly the HBA "case" in my opinon :

" For me, it is a phenomenon! But in France I don't know what happen, we don't like this kind of player. (...) Well, he has to leave abroad. Over there, we shall recognize his qualities, because in France the coaches have concerns with him. It's a pity that France goes without a guy molded by talent. (...) It's necessary to put him in confidence and not to put him on the bench in the slightest lapse. There are players who can miss four contests in a row and not lose their place. It is necessary to accept the style of the player, if he dribbles around four players and if he loses the ball, and indeed it's necessary to let him reattempt his chance later. In England, he would be a holder in many clubs. It's the guy who has the same profile as Cristiano Ronaldo. You should not make him play unnatural, we did not ask Ronaldinho to defend in Barça "  :)

Best is playing well but I just can't stop hoping that we might improve a shit load with HBA in the team instead. Can really see us being a surprise if Barfa plays magical like against Everton last season.
