Tiote as I have said on a number of occasions is our best and most important players

Colo is our most important player (or Krul?)

Not saying tiote is not important. But I think Colo is more important.

Agreed, the midfield without Tiote can still be pretty good, the defence without Colo...

Agree to disagree

Tiote dominates games, he gives the defence so much cover and our forward players do much license

Colo s importance has been magnified by STaylors absence. A Staylor/Willo partnership wouldn't have been the end of the world. Against decent offensive teams we have been murdered without cheick.

He will go in the summer. I reckon close to £25m and MA will sell. If you watch that YT compilation v Man U he is an absolute beast with very underrated technique! He is the new Essien, maybe without the goal threat!

I think it's more our cover! If we had another specialist CB then we'd miss him less. It's like not having guthrie  to slot in there, if we only has perch to cover tiote he'd be the most crucial player! For us as a team tiote is key, he allows us to mix it with the big teams, dominate the lesser teams- helps protect defence and build our attacks! Absolutely crucial player for us, especially as they say games are won and lost in midfield & I'd agree!!

He's alreet like. Pearch too be fair to the lad, has had a couple of good games recently and Guthrie has been magnificent but, we do miss him and Cabeye.

Not sure he'll go anywhere in the summer like, I genuinely think the disaster of a signing Carroll to LFC has been will make people think twice about giving us massive fees. I know it's for a totally different player who's proved it over a longer time btw,  I just reckon there's an automatic suspicion (sp?) about paying us huge fees now. Carroll will always be in the back of your mind if you're offering us big money.

That's the point though, we're not up against top teams. Two of our three rivals are Arsenal and Chelsea and they're both in a state of near-crisis. It's the weakest pool at the top for years and we've every chance of getting our foot in the door.

It's the 3rd rival, Liverpool, I think will be a step beyond us. Not impossible, just they seem to have a bit more depth in quality to see them through when a few players are missing. They managed without Suarez better than I expected tbh.

IF we are going to sell we just can´t sell to a competitive club. Fools, fuck them, they should sign any of other players anymore. what I hate most is not just to sell good player, but to sell them to a competitive club.

As someone said before. We shouldn´t cry about losing players before it actually has happened.

Think some of us have taken Tiote for granted a little this season. With big breakthrough seasons for Krul, Cabaye, Ba as well as outstanding displays from Coloccini, it's been easy to forget just how important he is. Even when he's having one of those games when he's a bit sloppy with the ball, when it comes to stopping other teams playing, nobody in our squad comes close to Tiote and that has been obvious in the last month.

Nobody would have questioned him as our most important player last season but I think few would have chosen him this time round if asked a few weeks ago.

it just feels like he hasn't truly been what he was last season. maybe the lack of pre season, maybe just not getting enough games in with cabaye, maybe now he's a known quantity others have combatted him better.

I don't think he will leave this summer. I love him being our player, watched the YT clip of him against Man Utd again recently and he is so immense. He isn't always like that, but he does get close on a regular basis. We do need more depth to our centre midfield, and someone better than Guthrie too, whether it be creative or tough tackling.

He's never really got going due to his injury and then when it looked like he was getting back to form he went off to Afrrriiikkaakkaaakkaaa.

He hasn't really played much this season and when getting back into the swing (Spurs at home, Manure at home) has been disrupted.

I suspect you are right, also with the financial rules coming into place this might be a factor in shelling out 20m or whatever for a player like Tiote. He'd be well worth a big fee to a team like Arsenal or Chelsea though, even manu. Put a Tiote in one of their midfields and it improves their entire team shitloads.

Some Liverpool fans I know are certain he'll be joing them in the summer, mind they also reckon we'll be getting Carroll back too.

I reckon he'll end up at Chelsea or Man Utd.

Tiote at Liverpool? What a joke for everyone involved that would be. Lucas is pretty much their best player (see how he returns from his injury). What Liverpool need is some pace for when Bellamy goes, a striker who can score goals consistently and players who are better technically. Tiote would cost £20m +. Not saying there's any truth in it but if there is, Liverpool's chief scouts and their system needs to be abolished

Asked #nufc's Alan Pardew if Tiote had been affected by his ACN disappointment. He said: "I don't think so...

...he has kicked everybody so far. I think he has got it out of his system. One or two of our players have had to take the brunt of that."

 :smitten:
