Cheick Tioté (1986-2017)

There's got to be a downside to this lad surely.. Just too good to be true, fantastic signing. Easy to be a bit worried and wonder why he couldn't stake a regular place in the Twente team, but he's been brilliant since signing. Such a calming influence.

I think the downside is that he won't be a Newcastle player at the start of next season. :(

I think he will.  He will, though, die at some point so maybe we could worry about that

Only issue I have is people have issues :dowie:

Give over, man. Were times during that game, that wonderful, fantastic, amazing game, where he kept spinning around with the ball on his right foot. Noticed it a few times, but thought nothing of it.

Never done Ryan Giggs any harm

He's quickly becoming one of my favourite signings in the last 5 or 6 years since Sir. Bobby left. Can match up against pretty much anybody by the looks of it and keeps the passing nice and simple, as well as having a decent engine.

Quickly becoming one of my favourite players. So fucking strong on the ball, and reads the game fantastically well. Very rarely that he needs to throw himself into a tackle, which is just fantastic to see.

According to the Chronicle he only misplace 10% of his passes. Thats great by any standard.

That's phenomenal if true..

47 passes on Sunday, 44 successful, 94% success.

Cattermole had a better success rate but Toite made nearly double the amount of passes.

dont know what i find more immpresive, the fact he stared a centre kick into the net, or the fact he converted the star segments on the ball to pentagons.

Hi Cheik, sometimes you have quite a unique way of running towards opponents. Can you tell us why you do it?

Michael McNally

It's all about the desire to get the ball back! It's just what I do. I do it with my heart - I don't really think about what I'm doing, I just do it!
