Theres not a hope in hell Nolan will be dropped. Smith possibly. I'd be chuffed with a point. If we go with an unchanged team we will get beat. Just with the addition of a strong athletic midfielder and an attacking midfielder with good quality we could be a totally different team.

Smith's challenge conceding the penalty just reminded me of how bad he was before the championship season. Hopefully its an isolated event and not the norm, but I'd like to see Tiote given his spot for this game and see how he does.

Blimey, a whole week away...  :undecided:  :undecided:

I know it's more tiring for the players, but I like Christmas time when there's football Saturday-Wednesday-Saturday, dammit!

Usually at the start of the season you get a full round of Premier League games in midweek sometime in August/ September. Dunno why they've changed it this year.

If we play this team, i'd be confident of picking up a point.

                    Harper

Perch  Williamson  Colo  Enrique

Routledge  Tiote  Barton  Jonas

                    Ben Arfa

                    Carroll

That's a really decent starting line-up imo, very solid. It's excellent away from home in particular because in HBA, Jonas and Routledge we have players that are very quick and possess good skill and close control, it gives the home team something to fear when they attack which can only ease the pressure on our defence.

i'd take a point now.

The likes of Perch, Routledge, Smith, Barton, Nolan and Jonas need to be giving it 100% in training this week as all should have there arses twitching at the prospect of being dropped as all were off the pace against Blackpool.

Will NOT be dropped. He's as close as you'll get to player/manager.

After Saturdays performance, i'd try this, not that it will ever happen.

                      Harper

Raylor    Williamson  Collo    Jose

Routledge    Barton    Tiote    Ben Arfa

            Carroll      Lovenkrands

Give this Tiote bloke a look at.

Thought Ben Arfa was effective on the wing, good passing, attacking, crossing.

Lonenkrands, because Nolan isnt going to run onto his flick ons

Perch looks poor and seems to lack strength
