Was nice to see the captain's armband on someone who gives a shit as well when he came on. His introduction also meant I didn't have to watch Raylor anymore so was really happy to see Jonas back.

Mmm. Raylor had Di Maria in his back pocket though, was one of our better performers on the night.

I can't remember Taylor making a tackle all night although he must have, he made one block and I remember nothing else.  He was out of position a lot chasing Di Maria who was playing awfully and has been for long enough.

He shouldn't be anywhere near a NUFC side if we are talking about ability, but he deserves his place in the side more than most based on the fact that since joining he has given more than most and lastly because of what he has overcome with the cancer. It's two fingers up to cancer and two fingers up to the ever increasingly cynical and win at all costs game in a way. If NUFC or football cannot find room for Jonas to get some game time then what is this sport, what is our club, what's it about? We lost, I didn't care, I don't care, but I was over the moon to se Jonas in our colours and I was likewise over the moon for Jonas personally. Good on him and hopefully this is the restart of his career if you like, I although hopefully not at The Toon because he's not good enough. Having said that none of them or, well, most aren't and do you know what, this club in its current guise isn't fit for a Jonas, a top guy, a remarkable charachter, a fighter and winner and a bloody good professional. f*** NUFC and f***ing kudos Jonas!

The Argentine international played the final 25 minutes of the single-goal defeat against Manchester United, and Taylor was delighted to have him not only back on the pitch, but in the dressing room as well.

"It was a huge moment," Taylor told nufc.co.uk.

"You never want to go off but it was made slightly easier by the fact Jonas was coming on. As he was preparing to come on, the stadium went crazy.  "It was his return, it was really pleasing to see Jonas come on the pitch, and he went on one of his old-fashioned runs towards the end, which was great to see.  "He can only get stronger from this now and look to play more games before the end of the season.

"Everyone in the dressing room is so pleased for him. When he wasn't there, we realised just how much we missed him.  "He's loud, shouts and screams, sings all the time and gets the dressing room perked up. On a Monday morning when it's quite quiet he will just start dancing and singing, and it makes everyone laugh. "We just didn't have that while he was away. But he is back now and hopefully he can stay back for a long time."

Jonas always comes across as a hugely likeable person.

Bashes Pardew for telling him to leave the club after his second op in late 2013, on an interview over at Marca.

Also talks about his illness, recovery, playing this weekend, etc...

Q. Do you have a grudge against the former coach, Alan Pardew, who rejected him when you needed it most?

A. What's anger gave me was that told me to look computer at a time, after the second surgery, in late 2013, in which I needed to integrate with the group and train. Yes hurt, especially considering that in the past five years my performance was very good. Sometimes you have to be more human and therefore not watch the football and business. But, well, I just look forward and everyone then watch your inner consciousness.

So yeah, basically confirms what we already suspected that Alan Pardew is an actual Crab Person.
