Doctor Zaius
Cant not have Shearer and Henry for me. No contest between Van Nistlerooy and Shearer. The horses heed was an out and out poacher, yet Shearer still had a better record than him at his peak. Henry was absolutely sublime.

Cronky
Others not mentioned anywhere: Paul Gascoigne Teddy Sheringham Andrew Cole David Seaman John Barnes David Ginola Wayne Rooney Jurgen Klinsmann Marc Overmars Emmanuel Petit Claude Makelele Robert Pires Jaap Stam I picked Rooney, as the best in that more withdrawn striker role, to partner Torres. But I have this bad feeling now that we may have already seen the best of him. His personal life seems to be in a mess, and that's affecting his form. With the way his career, on and off the field, has progressed, he must have thought that he was invincible. He has shown amazing mental strength in the past, but he's not a machine and the current situation now seems to have got the better of him. He needs to change, and I'm not sure he can. I hope he doesn't go the way of Best and Gazza - I've always thought he was stronger than either of those characters - but how he gets through this current crisis will determine the rest of his career. Guest firetotheworks
I cant believe anyone would have Rooney in their team. He hasn't been the best at anything imo. In that withdrawn role it's Bergkamp and Cantona.

Shak
Makelele. Can't think of a single thing he was better at than Roy Keane. (Apart from not being a complete tit, though that doesn't factor in I would imagine.)

Mole_Toonfan
Bergkamp has to be there, somehow. Was always in mine, but i always went with a warped 4-3-3 with Bergkamp behind Henry and Shearer when i picked an all time XI
Tiresias
Bergkamp, Henry and Shearer and you can probably forget about a balanced team elsewhere, any other 8 players and you're prolly going to outscore the opposition no matter
