Dave
Wonder what has changed his mind. He didn't want to come to us in the Summer, yet wants to come to us now. Snubbed us then, so why not now. Presumably thought he'd get a game at Spurs, and thought we'd be utter shite.
jdckelly
dont want keane there is so much better players out there....also players who wants to come here! hes(way) better than our other options to play alongside ac9 thats all i care about
Ketsbaia
Is there a possibility that if we asked nicely, Chelsea might give us Josh McEachran on loan? For the last month he's been the 2nd best player on their subs bench, so its very unlikely.

Dave
Anyway there's no chance Keane is coming here if this is true on any level: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/858985/west-ham-agree-salary-with-robbie-keane?cc=5739 West Ham agree salary with Keane December 30, 2010 By Harry Harris, Football Correspondent West Ham have agreed weekly wages of £65,000 with Robbie Keane, but their bid to sign the striker is stalling due to negotiations with Tottenham over a loan fee. Guest sicko2ndbest
Really not keen on Keane. He is a lesser version of what Owen was at the end of the relegation season
Pilko
Any sort of pacey forward with half a brain that Pardew has faith in would be handy. At the moment it's quite clear he's fuck all faith in anyone but Nolan and Carroll, and only wants to use Ranger as an impact sub.
Guest sicko2ndbest
I think we'd get Babel for about 4-5mil
ponsaelius
65k a week is far too much. Although I suppose on loan to guarentee survival it may be okay.
Ash
Same article reckons City are paying Wayne Bridge £90,000 per week btw. The stupid thing is, he'll probably be one of their lowest earners.
Dave
I think it's dead in the water without Hughton here anyway. Hence the supposedly leaked 'come and get me' shite today.
Ronaldo
Really not keen on Keane. He is a lesser version of what Owen was at the end of the relegation season Is he bollocks. Keane can strike a football, for a start.

Amir_9
Something tells me Keane would be what Beattie was for Stoke in terms of when they first signed him.

toontownman
Split on Keane. On one side I think he could flourish given an extended run of games and the chance of a partnership with AC. On the other side he could be a huge disapointment and going for someone completely different might be a better idea. He would bring alot of experience, which we are definately missing right now up front. He has more of a footballing brain than our entire front line too, I'm not saying that is hard to match or beat though. Babel is a decent shout although I think he could be more of a gamble than Keane. We need someone that we will be consistent and reliable so the likes of AC and Ranger can come through at the right pace. Our budget might give us problems finding that kind of player. TRon
I'm sure Pardew mentioned we needed some pace and directness up front so Keane doesn't fit into that category. Maybe AP will be looking more at a Marlon Harewood type.
