Got to make them work for their goals. If they can work it through two banks of four then fair-dos, the points are theirs. Don't just get caught in possession and give them a ball over the top to Walcott or Nasri at full speed. Make it easy and they will capitalize.

I think it is good we are playing Arsenal next as it keeps us on our toes.  If we were playing one of the lesser teams, I think there might have been an air of complacency as was the case with the Blackpool, Stoke and Wigan games.  We seem to do better when the players know they have to work hard to get anything out of a game.

A decent confidence-building performance against Arsenal would be nice and a point would be a bonus but then it will be back to having to get all the points in the next 2 home games.

It's all good and well saying you had a go at against Villa, us and the Mackems, but Arsenal are far superior to Villa, us and the Mackems. Playing open against them is suicide. They are guaranteed to create a few chances even if your defence and midfield are packed and working at 100% - don't give them any more encouragement. You have to be realistic here.

We try to play tight and hold them, and we get destroyed

We go with a confident, open gameplan and try and counter them, they may destroy us, but we get the chance to score a goal or so and so have a greater chance of getting something.

It's lose-lose, but the odds are slightly better with option two.

That's how West Brom won there, that's how Birmingham and West Ham did so well there - they went fearless - treated Arsenal like any other side and didn't give them too much respect or time on the ball. If we go into this thinking 'God, they're really good. Best defend for our lives', they'll score 4/5 past us.

west brom had a go and won there, as i've said i think their cbs are weak and won't like trying to deal with carroll and shola which could create openings for nolan to take advantage of.

Think set pieces will be important and if we can have a similar quality of corner as we did vs sunderland then we have a chance

IF we win the midfield battle we have a very good chance.

That's the one battle that we won't win.

I'm not being negative, because Arsenal are beatable, with the right tactics. If we keep things tight in defence and don't let them get behind us, we've got the power from set pieces to beat them.

well west ham defended well for most of the game didn't actually create much from an attacking sense

We should definitely have a go at them. We're not expected to get a result and Arsenal don't really have a plan B to their 'walk it into the net' plan A.

Definitely worth a go at them.

Fabregas out of their game tomorrow with hamstring injury but should be ok for our game.

He has been struggling IMO, he might well play on Sunday but I don't think he'll be fully sharp. Hopefully will allow Tiote more of a chance to get close to him.

Can't see us getting anything other than a hiding out of this game.

Different players, but we were beat 4-0 by these lot and their shape / tactics last week remember. Yes we'll batter them physically a bit more but they are still a long way better than us. Hope for a very crediable draw, expect them to wipe the floor with us.
