Wallace Posted January 3, 2011 Share Posted January 3, 2011 It is hard to judge him as a manager because although he did a great job for us, the circumstances with us were so unique and he had the good fortune to have some talented players with a strong mentality who were determined to prove a point to their critics. I am not sure that if he went to a struggling club where he did not know the players, he would be able to change things in time. Not many tipped us for automatic promotion and Hughton brought us that with room to spare. He probably wasn't the long-term option but his achievements here were by no means easy.
