Anderson
Crazy he's not won a single one of them awards this season, would've been the first Newcastle manager to do so since Bobby in Oct 03. Guess he'll have to make do with the big one at the end of the season.

Anderson
Jelavic over Cisse... Joke Agree with this. Cisse has scored 13 in 12.. Jelavic has scored 10 in 15. It's player of the month though. Cisse had 6 in 5 for April, Jelavic managed 6 in 3. Can't really argue.

Unbelievable
Good article on our squad strength/fringe players: Andy Townsend's Bootroom: Pards success story hinges on the fringes By ANDY TOWNSEND PUBLISHED: 22:49 GMT, 4 May 2012 | UPDATED: 00:19 GMT, 5 May 2012 Newcastle have that bit of magic — but they are in the hunt for the fourth spot because of their heartbeat. All the talk has been about Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba and Yohan Cabaye. But above that they have got the best bunch of squad players in the league: such as Danny Simpson, Mike Williamson, James Perch, Danny Guthrie, Ryan Taylor and Shola Ameobi. They don’t grab all the headlines and they often get overlooked, but they’re better than any other second-string in the league. At some clubs fringe players don’t always accept they’re not going to start every week but at Newcastle fringe players are happy to be part of the squad and try to make a difference when they get their chance. They might play out of position, but they don’t moan in the press, they don’t stroll around the pitch when they come on as a substitute. They’re realistic about their own ability. They play with great spirit and energy, happy to do it for the team. At other clubs their fringe players could do with adopting a similar attitude. It’s been the team’s greatest strength. That’s why Newcastle are where they are. Those players are so significant to the team. And Alan Pardew deserves credit for managing those players better than any other boss in the league. He’s taken what looked like an average bunch of players at the start of the season and transformed them into an excellent team. The question is: what happens now? If Pardew can keep those squad players and find a few more Cisses, a few more gems, they can stay in the top six for the next few years. Regardless of where they finish in the league it’s been such a fantastic season. They can’t afford to take a step backwards. This is the best chance they’ve had in years to become regulars in Europe again. Anderson
Not sure where to put this... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/9246779/Newcastle-Uniteds-assistant-manager-John-Carver-sees-the-world-in-black-and-white.html Must admit, the appointment of Carver was a big turning point for me, I don't think he'd have accepted his role within the club if he didn't trust the current regime. clintdempsey
From tomorrow's match programme: Finally, I come to you, our wonderful supporters. When all of us associated with the playing side of the club walk around the pitch after the game today, it will not be to take credit or plaudits for our achievements this season. No, we will do so to show our gratitude for the role you have played as our 12th man in so many games. This has been my first full season as Newcastle manager and the noise you create both in home games and on the road continues to take my breath away. You are the best supporters in the world and hopefully the performances our team have turned in over recent months have given you the rewards your passion and devotion merits.
