quayside
Why come on it then? Why not? It's a forum and its the best one around imo.
tmonkey
Pardew has had us playing miserable defensive hoofball in the past few months, with some ridiculous selections and tactics. One game against the big boys where everything happened to go right (primarily due to two wonder goals) does not undo that.
Ronaldo
Does 33 points halfway through the season undo it?

Yorkie
Absolutely nailed it. Renewed a bit of faith there cos i was having some big concerns that he'd completely altered his footballing philosophy. More of the same please. This is the thing though. On another night Man Utd could have turned up, steamrollered us, and beat us 4-1 or something. We'll get nights like this the same as we'll get nights like WBA. This is why we're where we are (challenging Europa League) rather than being a top 4 club. Manu weren't very good but we made them look like cannon-fodder. Genuinely think we'd have got a point or more even if they were at their best.
tmonkey
Does 33 points halfway through the season undo it? Not when the majority of those points were accumulated before "the past few months".
Guest dogbeak
how long did it take for the last few months to undo the excellent start to the season? i was always shite at maths.

Way over the top, there have been some selections I disagreed with recently but none of them were 'ridiculous'. I hope he has realised we are capable of decent football, even against the good teams, though.
Ronaldo
We're on course for 64 fucking points and the biased, malignant comments persist. No suprise, like; the same poster doesn't rate Coloccini.
tmonkey
We're on course for 64 f***ing points and the biased, malignant comments persist. No suprise, like; the same poster doesn't rate Coloccini. When have I said I don't rate Coloccini?

alexf
Hopefully this game was a turning point like the last game against Man U seemed to be, as we haven't been nearly as good in the last 8 or so games as we were before then. Need to use the momentum from this game to kick on again.

Sifu
Got his tactics bang on tonight. I thought it was a good mix of direct football and passing along the deck tonight which ultimately allowed us to come out on top. Well in Pards The Silver Fox is back

nufcjb
People can knock him for his tactics but never knock him for his enthusiasm and passion for the team and the club.. He was absolutely brilliant in in keeping the crowd going right until the end.. Still remember at the home game against Spurs when he was heard saying 'well done lad..Ur f***ing immense' or something like that to Tiote down at the touchline..a great motivator I say
Cajun
Have to check the league table often reading some of these posts. Obviously we have been lucky/the other team have been shit/the other team haven't been as fit/It's only because of wonder goals/the stars were aligned with the moon etc.. Mick
Our first touch was Coloccini hitting a long ball and I thought here we go, I couldn't have been more wrong and it's now up to Pardew to make sure we maintain the quality of football on show tonight. We've shown we can be effective when we play the ball on the ground and we have players who are more than capable of doing it.
