The Sun going with this story.

He has already turned down approaches from Birmingham and Fulham because he does not fancy battling relegation.

But he is excited by the prospect of managing Newcastle and knows they can match his own ambitions

Mate text me saying Jol gave an interview in his Spurs days saying he would have loved to have managed us if he had of been offered it.

Freddy Shepherd interviewed him for the position of manager after Souness was sacked. He was still at Spurs at this point.

He was.

Staggered that BMJ  would shaft Hughton like that though.  No true friends in football I suppose.

So we have -

Jol seemingly wants to come back to England

Bit Of  Spurs Connection

The crazy notion of replacing CH with Pardew

and David Craig saying bookies were wide of the mark 9earlier on) and we could be in for a suprise.

Not much, but its a start.
