Guest neesy111
Just because we sign someone for a bit of money doesn't mean we have to push them straight into our first team. Whoever we sign in Jan is going to have to fight there way into the first team. Our midfield is working well at the moment with barton's delivery and passion on the right with spiderman's pace and workrate on the left. If we sign larrson or bentley or whoever there's no harm in it creating compitition for places. We still have Dan Gosling and HBA to come back from injury aswell which will boost the midfield options furthur. Players will not want to come here, unless we offer them a decent amount of first team football.

KaKa
Amazing that everyone thinks he is going to be RW cover. I'm sure he'll be brought in as LW cover as we already have routeldge on the RW for cover for Barton. He is not going to come in to be cover for anyone. The guy can wait till the summer and can have his pick of clubs after his contract is up. He' been playing every week for Birmingham and doing well. Why on Earth would he then come here on a long deal to be a backup? No chance.

Guest Stephen927
He's a better version of Ryan Taylor.
Benwell Lad
With Gosling and HBA back soon midfield is probably the area we're strongest in to start with. This signing must mean one or two are on their way out.

Guest neesy111
Actually looking at his stats, he doesn't look that good. 7 assists since start of 2008 that is probably worse than even guthrie etc.
Guest Stephen927
He's a better version of Ryan Taylor. Shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath. Why? Both have the same attributes to their game, but Larsson is better at all of them. Ryan Taylor should be moved on if we sign Larsson.

He plays for Birmingham. Who exactly do they have to finish off attacking moves? Other than Cameron Jerome, who is okayish, they have nothing. Jerome is usually up top himself chasing long balls down the channels.

Either way, not as horrible as he's being made out to be.

Guest The_Optimistic
Decent squad player but don't we have Gosling coming back to fitness who plays in the same position?
Guest Roger Kint
would love to have him at newcastle. sell smith and raylor This. If we want to move up we need to upgrade on those and Guthrie(and most strikers too) which Larsson will be if Barton or Nolan were out for any period. Gallowgate Toon
Squad player for me, even with our current starting XI. I don't want to get rid of Routledge tbh he gives a very different option on the wing which could be very useful, especially when the game needs a pace injection, he's as much a useful squad player as Larsson. Well obviously we aren't targeting him just to sit on our bench but obviously you can't expect to walk into any club and go straight in the first team when everything is working fine as it is, as a player you are expected to show your talents in training or by coming off the bench and impressing to get your place ahead of others in the team. How would barton feel if we signed bentely and he got booted or Jonas got dropped for larrson or kranjcar for nolan for example. It would disrupt the whole team spirit. You need to earn your place in the starting line up ahead of others as Best did with Ranger through commitment and hard work.
