fucking load of hysterical, histrionic, overdramatic fairies in this thread tbh.

It's a bad performance and an exit from a cup not the end of the world.

Theres some truth in this. Its been a dreadful showing though and while the abuse is standard practice when we dont win, some pelters are required today.

If you pick alan smith and expect it be 11 against 11 then you are an idiot. No biggie here. Dont really care about the cup at this stage. but play with smith in the team and you're a man down anyway. doesnt matter who you're against. The fact that tiote is out the big worry. Smith will play in the derby. thats the laughable travesty of all this.

not sure why people are having a go at others for reacting to this match. Personally i can't remember a worse performance in my lifetime. this is literally as bad as it gets. considering the backstory to this match and the fact that it will now be talked about for years afterwards just makes it worse.

and when you consider that we've lost the lad who makes everything tick over in midfield for the derby match it rubs salt in the wound.

and to top it all off, this was all so avoidable. all we needed was to be professional and use a bit of common sense.

People blaming the manager 100% for this is laughable.  Players are more to blame in matches like these, clearly they underestimated the match and have been complacent.

You having a laugh? Isn't it the managers job to make sure the players DON'T become complacent?

Actually, are you the one who said Guthrie smacked your mate?

The only bonus is that the Mackems lost as well, would have been nice to go into theirs on the back of three straight wins.  Losing Tiote is terrible, should never have been on the pitch.  Pardew to blame, but the players just weren't interested and that's a shame, cause we should have walked this.

Full credit to a spirited Stevenage team who playing us off the pitch.
