BlueStar
Why the press keep calling him israeli? Grant is not exactly a foreign surname, he was maybe born in israel , but must have english family. have you heard him speak? sound local to you? Israel's an entire nation of immigrants any road, what does you expect them all the be called?
Tooj
It's beggars belief if West Ham can pull off a stroke of genius by sacking their manager with O'Neill lined up. Especially as we done the same, but to bring in Alan Pardew. Then again, O'Neill's not going to toe the company line like Pardew, is he?
Crumpy Gunt
Hope Hughton doesn´t take them. But then again I would be disappointed not matter what PL team he would go to, just based at jealousy. Hughton has ZERO chance of getting any Premiership job. He got the NUFC gig by default. Robster
Interesting match up really. Ex Villa Manager and the ex Birmingham owners. I always thought that Randy Lerner was one of the best owners out there - but O'Neill obviously wasn't suited in the end. Be interesting to see how the relationship develops with Gold and Sullivan. Ketsbaia
Interesting. They'll not get relegated now, so who on earth will?

OzzieMandias
Oh no he isn't... Avram Grant will not be sacked following West Ham United's match against Arsenal at Upton Park this evening, according to a very senior source on the club's board. Reports claimed this morning that Grant would be relieved of his position this evening even if West Ham defeat Arsenal. But when contacted this morning and asked if this was what would happen the senior board member told Guardian Sport: "I can categorically say that it is not correct. I do not know where that [the report] has come from." http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jan/15/avram-grant-west-ham

PM
Would be very unlike the BBC to report something that didn't eventually happen like.
BlueStar
So what do we reckon? O'Neill says yes, they tell Grant to hop it, O'Neill gives them his list of demands and suddenly they're not so sure?
jdckelly
Why would mon go there? He demands lots of dosh and 100% control, he wouldn't get either off gulivan who let their attack dog brady have some control

brummie
This is weird. He couldn't work with the easiest going, most wallet friendly chairman in the league, but he can go and work for Pornodwarf and Mr Tumnus? There's also absolutely no way he'll get 100 percent control there, and it will be days until Sullivan says something to fuck him off enough to make him think about leaving. leffe186
I really hope they fall apart. Get relegated, move to Stratford, play in a two-thirds empty stadium where the fans are miles from the pitch.

The guy at Villa was hardly splashing the cash in his latter days was he? Does seem a bit strange that he is up for working for them dodgers though. toontownman
Spammers fans will be jumping for joy at this one. Certainly potential tears though if they think about it. They must be offering MO'N a wad load to go there. Hilarious if he goes and cant turn it around too.
Guest Chubby Jason
What the hell is he thinking? He can do so much better than West Ham, more to the point how do we have Alan fucking Pardew managing us and West Ham manage to convince Martin O'Neil when their bottom of the league? LoveItIfWeBeatU
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9361588.stm 1600: There's some chat on Twitter (courtesy of BBC Radio 5 live regular Ian McGarry that Martin O'Neill will not be the new manager of West Ham, but that it'll be Martin Jol instead. Plots are thickening left, right and centre. West Ham v Arsenal still to come at 1730 GMT, forget ye not.
