No winning of cups, no attempt at gaining European football, no massive wage incentive, it's a graveyard for any footballer that isn't actually bothered about playing football or furthering their careers/experiences. Wrong. They really cares about their own. That's why they performed like shit and once we relegated they can find new clubs easily, because the club has to sell them for nuts instead of quoting ridiculous price. Why would a group of ego driven professional footballers, some of them full internationals, have any respect or consideration for the opinions and 'knowledge' of a bloke who never really played professionally and has failed at the two small time managerial gigs he got? He has no record or experience to point to. He has no medals or trail of success to validate his authority. The whole squad looks like they couldn't give a f*** and they need a huge lift. Tim sherwood might be a nutter, but he has a s*** villa team playing with belief and spirit and that is what we need badly. Even KK took about 9 games to get his first win last time he came back, though he did get a few draws. Think if they do bring McClaren in now, its on the basis that he was a Championship manager anyway, so if we go down he's lost nowt - if we stay up, it'll be dressed up as partly down to him. If they are trying to bring McClaren or anyone else in, I hope they jettison Carver altogether and not just demote him, along with Stone and Woodman in the process. That they can never remember a manager previously making such a 'slanderous' claim against one of his own players, how the dressing rooms obviously lost, how Carver "being a fan" is all he goes on about and its not good enough.
