Don't see anything wrong with his quotes, and don't see how he's trying to flog Perez.

He's an exciting talent. You speak to coaches after games and two or three people have talked very highly of him. I had a good chat with Brian Kidd at City.''

"and told him anything north of £3 million and we can do a deal"

There's no reason whatsoever that he has to mention interest from other clubs. How many other managers do that?

Just say Perez is doing better this season than we anticipated, and leave it at that.

If this is playing without fear as they have nothing to lose, I don't want to see what defensive football is..........  :huff:

Today was his last chance to be given the job, even if we win the expected games left, like QPR and even manage to win the derby his record will still be low and he'll be no where near the top 10.

I wonder if finishing 11th and getting a lower merit payment from the Premier League is more cost effective than finishing 10th and having to pay out bonuses.

Aye, along with saying yes to Ashley no matter what it's the only criteria we'll really be using when 'looking for' the full time manager.

Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, he'll get the gig full time. Why? Becasue he's happy to do as he's told by Ashley, and deliver the bottom line. Not even the latter will be enough, next season.

Dark, dark times. :(

Spot on, no way we will be looking for anyone that has the potential to rock the boat.
