“I don’t think I will have to say too much to them before the game.

I know how they will react.

I am hoping they will react the way I’m thinking they will.

“They usually do after a defeat like this.

“I think they have been positive this week so there is no reason why we can’t go into the game with a positive frame of mind.”

"They usually do after a defeat like this"?

This season:

Defeat? Southampton 4 - 0 Newcastle

Game after? Draw with Hull at home, just.

Defeat? Arsenal 4 - 1 Newcastle

Game after? Beat by Sunderland at home.

Last season:

Defeat? Lose 3-0 to Sunderland at home

Game after? Lose 3-0 to Chelsea

.......Game after?? Lose 4-0 to Tottenham at home

And the best for last:

Defeat? Lose 3-0 to Everton at home

Game after? Lose 4-0 to Southampton

.......Game after? Lose 4-0 to Man United at home

ah ffs man, game after? Lose to Stoke

Listen.

Listen, my point is that we do the exact opposite of that. Under Pardew we just went on intense bad runs. It's literally the opposite of bouncing back.

If he really any better than JFK?

I hate the c*** but he's a lot better than JFK. He does occasionally tell the truth in his post match press conferences and I think he even blamed himself after a defeat.

He (seems to) tell fewer lies but has a worse record if that's possible.
