Ashley17
No midfielders on the bench.. We've done some great business in the Jan transfer window haven't we..? Gosling, Ireland, Smith, Vuckic & Ben Arfa all injured, R Taylor & Tiote suspended - maybe we shouldn't have loaned Routledge but you can't have 20 midfielders on the staff, football clubs do not work that way Could have put Richardson there. He's been on the bench before. He may be untested but it's better to actually have a midfielder on the bench instead of 4 defenders. That is true, but it has nothing to do with January business. Unbelievable
No midfielders on the bench.. We've done some great business in the Jan transfer window haven't we..? thenige
To be fair Perch has played a fair bit of football in midfield, he's not THAT bad at playing a midfield holding role.
Fenham Mag
Really worrying who is going to take Nolans place if he has to come off, which i think will happen. Ive played a couple of days after food poisoning and didnt even last 20 minutes. Anyway , im off , Howay the Lads.

Ive played a couple of days after food poisoning and didnt even last 20 minutes. Anyway , im off , Howay the Lads. What will happen should that be the case: Perch comes on. Ranger goes up front, Barton and Guthrie in midfield, Lovenkrands wide right. Edit. Beaten already.

TRon
Mick Lowes doesn't think Ireland is even training. Says everything that we seem to have a firmer date for HBA's comeback game than Ireland's.

Ive played a couple of days after food poisoning and didnt even last 20 minutes. Anyway , im off , Howay the Lads. If needs be we could re-jig it with presumably Perch to left back, Barton into the middle, switch Jonas and push Ferguson on to left wing. And that's the type of mass upheaval Pardew loves to enforce.
QBG
Why does he continue to persist with fucking Lovenkrands. Gash man, utter gash.
Big Geordie
No Ireland again? Now there's a surprise. The bad window of January being exposed for all to see - you ask for trouble and you get it.

We aren't paying his wages if he isn't playing so it makes absolutely no difference,Theres a strong chance he will make a positive impact on the games towards the end of the season.. Mistle17
Absolutely furious to see Lovenkrands starting again! Why, why does this man persist in starting such a useless, ineffective player? I know we're very thin on the ground with options up front and in midfield, but christ, Pardew is not doing himself any favours. We have simply got to win this.
