TaylorJ_01
Don't you wish your girlfriend was Cha Du-Ri? Think the alternative was 'full back' instead of 'girlfriend'. Guy was rubbish

TaylorJ_01
I've had it in my head all day now too. It's the way the Celtic fans sung it, it was kind of camp. "Don't cha...*trumpet bit*.... Don't cha...*trumpet bit*....."
Ketsbaia
Is there anywhere in the North East that might have beer from all 32 World Cup nations? It's for uni. Iran will probably be non-alcoholic.

Iran will probably be non-alcoholic. Unlikely. I have a feeling you can get Iranian beer in Reza restaurant, just over from the Academy in town. Bar wise Tilleys will probably the best. Coppers in Gosforth or Rehill's in Jesbo for shops.

BrettNUFC
How many years till we have a manager from here who is as talented and as passionate as Sir Bobby at our football club? Was thinking about this over tonight and still my biggest regret in football is wanting him to be sacked. Actually ashamed of myself for it. Seemed right at the time but looking back, even though I felt once season had begun he deserved chance to improve it, he was gone...forever So, will we ever see the likes again? That's the daft question...
Weezertron
Well we have to start producing players from the area if we want a chance at having another manager similar to Bobby. That's not happening anymore. So aye, not in our lifetime.

Guest
I think so. The likes of Bolton's, Sunderland's, Stoke's came not long after.
Disco
Depends what you mean by flatpack. Huddersfield's opened in 1994 but I wouldn't class that as flatpack nor would I Bolton's as Nut alluded to above.

Do you ever wonder why your judgment is so out?
Guest
We needed to replace Sir Bobby properly to keep progressing that summer. Not see our two immediate rivals from the previous season go and get Mourinho & Benitez, while we fucked about, did the opposite to what Bobby seemingly wanted (signed Butt & Kluivert rather than Carrick & Bent for starters), and then sacking him when it was too late and being stuck with Souness. Always believed it was the right decision, but abysmal timing. And his successor, obviously.
Disco
I'm pretty sure I thought moving SBR upstairs would have been the right thing to do at the time as we had stagnated a bit with him as manager but it was a fucking catalogue of disasters replacing him. Fucking Souness man, bottom of the fucking league fucking Souness. Even though it hasn't worked for Man Utd it should have been him having a massive say in who replaced him given his wealth of knowledge compared to the jokers running the show. True but I think if he'd had a say in the whole process and his love for the club generally he might have gone for it. Shepherd coming out and saying it was the end of him before he was sacked. EDIT: Shepherd

Guest
We knew when that summer his contract changed from a 12-month rolling contract, to just a one year contract that it was going to happen though.
Andybiotics
How can Wes Brown play against Man.City in the cup? I thought he got a 3 game ban, and since they didn't play against City in the league because of the postponement.
