Mike
I don't know. Is Carver brave enough to do that? Carver IRL http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/01/591f035f2aa0858aeb9e40a39756f794.jpg I think he might be allergic to that face paint.
Deuce
Id like to see Abeid and Colback in the middle, with Cabella left and Sissoko on the right. Sissoko cutting in and switching with Colback. Aye, stick Obertan in defence and Anita in goal and I reckon you're onto a winner there. Alright smart arse, give yourself a clap. Bit late, already got it off your mum. http://th03.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2012/126/5/8/oh_gif_kid__by_magnasicparvis-d4ypxo5.jpg
Leazes1986
“Losing Jack Colback to suspension I was a bit light on central midfielders and I had to stifle Moussa Sissoko because I needed him in there. “It has worked. Things have gone against us and I have had to deal with that. “I am not making excuses, they are facts. Colback was a big miss today.” In his and Vurnon Anita’s stead, Mehdi Abeid went unfussily about his business in front of Newcastle’s back four. Carver said: “He did OK. “I want someone to get on the ball with a bit more composure. He battled and competed. “Things didn’t come off for him at times and I expect more from him.”
Guest antz1uk
yeah and we expect a lot more from you cuntver, ffs this man is atrocious, publicly berating a young member of the squad who has so much potential
U2
Utter choke reading that from Carver. It's his first start after injury, in a team that got utterly pummeled the week before - I reckon he was absolutely fine and as always, absolutely no need to criticize him to that extent in the press Colback absolutely untouchable it seems - wow

Abeid is one of the only reasons I still bother to watch most of our games - hope he gets out of this tinpot club as soon as possible.
U2
You know what, that is a classic exactly how not to man manage people mistake from Carver. He wants Mehdi to show more composure on the ball. Best give him the confidence then and not criticize him openly in that way. Talk up his positional play, his battle in defence and then say that you are looking forward to his confidence growing with game time and with that, him showing more composure on the ball. I reckon our staff could do with studying some basic psychology.

I'm not but I am surprised he would slag him in the press , we won ffs! Aye, Carver trying to create a clique which is loyal to him to strengthen his chances of getting the job. Being able to parrot support of players like Colback and Colo are a big deal to fat Mike.

Disco
Carver really doesn't like him does he? Thought he did OK once the game got going tbh, he is a lot more disciplined in the DM position than I've reason from Colback and/or Anita recently although his sideways passing probably isn't as crisp but on the flipside he's more likely to try a difficult ball than just giving it back to whichever player gave him it. The College Dropout
Wow. That is genuinely unbelievable from Carver. I remember that comment from the reserve game. And he blamed Mehdi for the Stoke equaliser too - if indirectly.

Leazes1986
For all we know he might be the type of character who constantly needs pushed, but there is no need to do it in public. Especially when you look at the performances of certain individuals week in, week out who never get a bad word said about them in public.
ujpest doza
I didn't think he did very well at all to be honest. Massive gap between our forwards and 2 central midfielders.
Hanshithispantz
That's Carver's doing. You've described similarly average Jack Colback performances as 'outstanding'.
AyeDubbleYoo
I'm not as convinced as some about Abeid but he should definitely be playing ahead of the other options right now.

Agreed. the comments are just odd though. I dn't think he criticised any other players as manager. Except Abeid - twice.

Collage
Why say something like that? He's so fucking stupid. It's not like we have tons of options in the middle with Tiote out and Colback suspended.

Jesse Pinkman
why does he hate Abeid so much? Hardly ever picks him when available and when he does, he slates him even after a win. Colback must help with the cones or something.
EthiGeordie
If he plays 442 i don't blame him for dropping Abeid for Sissoko and Collback. For any other player and systems then it is a problem.
