Other clubs' transfers

It's probably untrue and utterly shite journalism. However,as for Man Utd getting rid of Rooney generally, well, I don't know the full commercial impact of it, but from a purely footballing aspect I can't see it being a bad move for Man Utd. Can almost certainly get a better, younger player in for less than the transfer fee they get for Rooney.

Rumour of Dzeko to Dortmund, though he was all set to go to Bayern last year and that fell through because of his clingers on.

Suppose that means Lewandowski will be off.

Would make sense.

Rooney to Man City, Dzeko to Dortmund, Lewandowski to Man Utd. Easy.

Man U coming out winners there. He links up well with Kagawa too, though I seem to remember Kagawa having a moan about Lewandowski.

Don't think there has been any rift between Rooney and Ferguson.

Rooney will have a few clubs after him who will be willing to swap things around to accommodate him. Huge talent.

Huge in the rotund sense, yes.

Fergie has a long memory. He will not have forgotten Rooney's little new contract/transfer request stunt.

Nor will he have forgiven him totally.

Rooney, in my humble opinion, has peaked. I know age-wise he's not in his prime yet, but I just don't see him getting better than he is.

I think Fergie will try and offload him for a huge some while he still can.

He's a bitter old man if that's true.

You don't achieve what he has as a manager without being properly ruthless.

Doubt he would do it unless it was in the best interests of the club though.

Fair points.
