We were proud of having done so well without breaking the bank, so I don't really know what to think about all this. We definitely need to upgrade our creative midfielders if Bale is gone, but I'd have been fairly happy with Townsend and Chadli (plus Lennon, Holtby, Siggy etc). Get the replacements in first and then sell the player, he knows if they sold Bale first the players they try to buy would skyrocket in terms of price.
