Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Recommended Posts

He'll have enough around him at PSG to be able to perform a lot better than he has here. He'll not have anywhere near the responsibility.

Bingo. He'd play with the likes of Matuidi, Pastore, Lucas Moura, Motta, and Veratti in that midfield.

If he's good enough to get into that team, that is. It's a risk for him in the World Cup year, assuming he has a desire to play and isn't just after the cash.

Still think he will go for £15m or slightly more.

Think we will probably settle on €18m plus add ons/sell on. No doubt that will be our entire transfer fund and then some so way under £10m to replace Cabaye/buy a LW sounds likely if we get Gomis

€30m for the pair, at the very least.

what did we pay, €10-11m for the two of them with cabaye very cheap?  i'd have to be close to €30m i reckon

EDIT: not passing judgement on whether we should sell them or if it's even realistic, just talking value in theory

I also don't want us to sell Debuchy at this stage, despite the fact he hasn't adapted (yet) to the pace of the Premiership. Our squad is thin enough as it is, with little or no cover at RB, and the retards in charge are already finding it hard to bring in the players we desperately need without adding further positions they need to focus on.

Me neither, he's quality and will come good.

They spent the whole of last summer pussyfooting about trying to bring in Debuchy and failed. There is no chance we will manage to get in a new RB in under two weeks, and that's before even getting into the fact they have been chasing another forward and a winger on the cheap this entire summer, and predictably failed.
