Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Recommended Posts

After Cabayes first season with us we could had probably asked for £20mil. Last season his form had dipped and £12mil is in my opinion more realistic. If we keep him til January or even next summer, he'll be worse than last season and we'll be lucky to get £10mil.

But he's going this week, we'll see what Ashley can screw out of them. Not that it matters of course, it's not like it'll be reinvested.

I wouldn't even reply to them. They know our price, until they come near it, ignore them.

What if they meet our price at 10pm on deadline day?

Sell him, plus deadline day tax ala andy Carroll and make him hand in a transfer request.

That's the dream scenario. Got the cash, too late to pretend to spend it.

If I were to reply to arsenal I'd tell them that if they plan to leave tilt till the last minute it will cost them more than what we'd accept now.

Lolz, £15mil and it goes up £1mil per day.

Come deadline day I'd want £20m plus a transfer request, or he stays.

We've done it with Carroll and I could quite easily see us doing it again.

 Exactly, I have big fears this is what might happen.  It's the worst possible scenario for me.

This is going to be a long fucking season, isn't it  :(

 Just realized that?

No  :) not really, but you kind of live in hope that it'll all work itself out in the end and it'll not be as bad as you feared, and then you have a moment of clarity, when you realize, you actually DO support the real life headfuck, that is Newcastle United  and it wasn't a bad dream you were having, you're really emotionally tied into all this.

You take emotion away from it and deadline day is going to be an incredible story. How in the world can they think we have a team that can compete. Then the too late to do anything Cabaye move, and the inevitable statement, or JFK radio interview the next day.

 Finishing just outside the zone is still competing, though. You don't get to stay up because you've got a lot of fans. We still have to win a game or two.

Sell him, and get one or two of their players on loan. Bendtner on a season's loan, then sign Gomis on a free next summer.
