Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Recommended Posts

Was so close to posting a massive rant on Facebook there to all the Man Utd one's I know. I just got a sudden wave of anger at the thought of Cabaye in a Man Utd shirt. You've no idea how many fucking morons I've had to listen to talk about Mata like they're experts when they haven't got the first clue about him. It's a bit like that Chelsea video pranking the fans. The thought of listening to that shit about Cabaye. :anguish:

Some of the shit Man Utd fans have talked about Mata this week ffs. Literally making generic shit up as they go along. The ones I know couldn't think of a good formation with him, in fact the one they agreed on was one I suggested, the absolute bastards. I never let it get to me, but I've finally snapped from this Cabaye stuff.

Manchester United are considering a bid for Yohan Cabaye, who is valued at £25m by Newcastle United, in the last days of the transfer window, though the champions face competition from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain. The French club have had a £14m offer for Cabaye rejected.

David Moyes' priority is to strengthen his midfield and, though Cabaye is not considered by the United manager to be in the highest bracket of player, the 28-year-old is proven in the Premier League and a France international who, it is felt inside Old Trafford, would help United's push for a Champions League place.

While United would price Cabaye at less than £25m, the club's hierarchy recognise that a premium will have to be paid to attract players, as was shown by their willingness to spend £37.1m on Juan Mata.

He's not in the highest bracket of player. Jesus wept.

Compared to their midfielders he's f***ing Zidane.

Does he rate Felliani higher?!

From the guy that paid £27 million for Fellaini

Based on that fee, they should have to stump up £30 million minimum for Cabaye.

Cheeky git.

The later the sale the better for Ashley, whilst other clubs refuse to sell their better players at all, not this window or not so late in this window. Its perfect for his bullshit excuses "we tried" "not enough time left" "clubs want bigger fee's in January" "clubs don't like to sell their better players mid season", exactly how we should be with Cabaye.

Feel a little bit sorry for Pardew he will be the one to face the media and peddle the lies, he is never going to speak his mind on anything, will stick to the script  to keep his job.

We'll probably get another drunken rant from Kinnear on Talk Sport about how the kebab deal was good business and how we should thank Mike for getting us dat cash. Llambeezy couldn't get that much for him.

No offence, but this is massive bullshit.

As if Ashley cares when in the window the deal happens. If he wants to sell Cabaye, he will. If he wants to buy someone, or not, he will. This conspiracy about doing everything not to make signings is honestly bordering on paranoid delusion.

Aye, the last two summer windows and this one are all just a big coincidence.

A major reason for the finances being healthier than they were before is due to cost cutting. If we can get away without spending money we will do so. How you or anyone else can dispute this is beyond me.

So if PSG offered a fee he wanted in the first week of the window he would sell? leaving a full window with fans demanding all of the money is invested.

We are safe in our league position so buying players this month will not interest him at all, we are the mugs who pay to go and watch the team play. We want new signings we want an improved team. Ashley would prefer to do the deal late so the club can use the lack of time excuse for not investing the money.

What difference does it make to do it now or in the summer? Because Cabaye will definitely be replaced if he goes. I see what you're getting at given the terrible record Ashley has in the transfer windows, but we're not going to sell our best player and just leave that hole sitting there for any longer than the rest of this season.

You've totally missed the point, possibly deliberately. As I said, if Ashley wants to buy/sell or not he will, what I'm disputing is this conspiracy about timing deals for marginal PR gains with fans.

He may be replaced yes but not in this transfer window, fans want need him replaced now, we have ambition and dreams we want to see new exciting signings. The remainder of the season without Cabaye would be dreadful but without Cabaye and his replacement its would be even worse.

Ashley will just expect Pardew to cope with who he has and then if we do okay he won't spend decent money to replace Cabaye.
