Guest bimpy474
I do like Pardew saying we need to sort this NOW, yes i suppose we do with a week to go in the window.
Nobody
If he's refused to play and we're letting him get away with it, it's a fucking disgrace. If we're not playing one of our most creative players and potentially dropping points in the process out of fear of jepordising selling him off, it's a fucking discrace. If we're doing the latter, while telling the media it's the former, it's a double fucking disgrace. Spot on
Ronaldo
Amazed anyone could be devastated, tbh. He was a big upgrade on Nolan as a footballer but next to some of the CMs we've had over the past 15 years he's not fit to lick their underpants. He's one of the better players of an underwhelming squad with a reputation that outweighs his actual effectiveness. Enlighten me which midfielders you're talking about. Count me in. Preferably if you could go a bit outside of the box and count out Speed and Lee. Is this a joke? Batty, Pedro, Speed, Hamann, Lee, Dyer and Parker were all more effective PL players. Besides that fact it´s over 15 years since Pedro and Batty played for us, I would find it very hard to agree that Cabaye is not fit to lick Hamann, Dyer and Parkers underpants Moving on then. Over 15 years since Pedro and Batty? In your little world, perhaps. Pedro left in 97/98, Batty a year later. Pedro left in august 97 which is exactly 16 years ago, no? Batty left december 98, so still a few months until the 15 year mark, I'll give you that. Time flies Ron! It does. And I miss them all, mate. 2013 NUFC is shit. It's 20 years this coming Thursday since I went to my first PL game. If I'd been born 20 years later and this was my footballing introduction I'd probably have picked a different sport. Maybe Rugby - and turned out gay. Imagine that shit. My Mrs is due in a couple of weeks. Do I subject this innocent child to NUFC? No. Don't do it brother. BlueStar
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/arsenal-expected-table-new-bid-5783426?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter#comments Arsenal expected to table new bid for Yohan Cabaye Arsenal are expected to table a new bid for Yohan Cabaye after the midfielder opted out of Newcastle United’s clash with West Ham yesterday. London sources today suggested that Arsenal will go back to Newcastle with an increased offer closer to £13million for the French international. Cabaye sat out of the goalless draw with the Hammers at St James’ Park with many fans left deeply disappointed by his absence. Arsenal had a bid of around £11million rejected last week but Newcastle value Cabaye way above that. The ex-Lille man’s transfer market valuation is around £15million. But given Cabaye is under contract for another three years the Magpies can demand whatever fee they please. Cabaye has been offered a path back into the first team by Alan Pardew, but the midfielder is thought to want Champions League football. The player has been training with his personal fitness coach in the last few days to stay fresh in the event of a move.
BeloEmre
If it's true that Ashley's respond to the first bid was "Which part of him do you want?", i can't see a bid just £2m higher than the first one being accepted. Not even close.

Peppe
£13M? We should bid £8M for Walcott.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
£13m. Fuck off, man.
Flip
I'd say he's worth £15m. We don't really need a new CM if he leaves though. Yesterday was proof enough to show that what we really need is a left-winger/striker. Anita - Siss Marv Is good enough to start for a top 10 side. Play Benny and Remy/Winger on each side of Remy/Cisse/Striker and we'll be fine. With injuries we have Bigi, Gosling, Tiote to play centrally and Ben Arfa to play in the Marv position. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
He's not 'worth' £20m but his reputation in today's market means it's the bare minimum we should be looking for.

I think we do need another midfielder if he's sold on top of a winger & a striker. If one of Sissoko or Anita gets injured we will then have to suffer the likes of Jonas and Tiote playing central midfield, that's worked so well over the last 12 months. LRD
13m? Not interested. 18-20m that we can potentially have a similar replacement plus excess for another player and I think it's reasonable considering the current circumstances.
Ikon
Unfortunately the cunt in charge will start with Tioté as soon as possible.
BONTEMPI
13m! I'd hold out for another 10m on top of that. Do they seriously think a cretin like Ashley will be swayed by that?
LRD
We won't have a choice either way at this ugly stage. Unlikely we want to keep him and if we fail to sell, we have to reintegrate a discontented player who has either gone on strike to force his way out, or is affected by the club lying to the media about his unprofessionalism. thenige
What really fucks me off about this is that whilst Baines, Fellani et al continue to play and prove their worth, every time Cabaye doesn't play it weakens our position and essentially lessens his value. However saying that, the opposite also appears to be true for Gomis who most be the only player in football history who seems to be worth more the closer he gets to his contract expiring. What the hell is it with this club?
