Jimburst
Looks a different player, to be fair. He's way more mobile than he's ever been. Better fitness? Enjoying his football more/not depressed?

Skirge
Cabaye: 'We're All Right Now' By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor Yohan Cabaye hailed United's right-side combination as the Magpies eased to a 3-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday. All Newcastle's goals at Selhurst Park came from the right - Cabaye sweeping home the first, Danny Gabbidon turning the ball into his own net for number two, before Shola Ameobi was bundled over inside box for a late spot-kick third. The first two owed much to the link-up play of the outstanding Mathieu Debuchy and Moussa Sissoko, who terrorised the Eagles' defence throughout. And Cabaye paid tribute to the duo, claiming manager Alan Pardew has two players down that flank who are at the very top of their game. "Moussa and Mathieu are in great shape at the moment," he told nufc.co.uk following the final whistle. "We have to enjoy them when they are playing together like this. "We have done very well down that side, especially today. The way they were together, their passing and crossing, was brilliant. "A lot of our attacks came from that side and that helped us win the game, but everyone was excellent all over the pitch." With struggling Palace rejuvenated under new boss Tony Pulis, a tight game was anticipated. But Newcastle rubbished any notions of caution with another fine, away performance - their sixth victory on the road in all competitions this season. "It is always difficult to play against a team who fighting relegation," said Cabaye. "We knew this place would be hard, with a small pitch and a good atmosphere, but we had a good mentality. "To win, score three goals and keep a clean sheet was perfect before two home games. "It helps us stay high in the league, where we want to be." Cabaye's strike was reminiscent of his winner at Old Trafford earlier this month - another fantastic away victory in the Magpies' yellow third kit. And the midfielder revealed he knew exactly where his teammate was going to put the ball. "Moussa is always looking for the little pull-back and I just try to be free and then make sure I can hit the target," he explained. "I'm happy to score, happy to do it for the team and if it means we get three points then that is even better. "We love playing in this yellow kit. We have worn it three times now and won three times. "It may be the third kit but we like it and maybe we should always wear this kit away from home!" http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20131221/cabaye-were-all-right-now_2281670_3587139
James
People will know that I have in the past been critical of Cabaye in the past, not of his quality but of his consistency and fitness and attitude. He had bad spells in season one, and a bad season two. However season three after the early blip has been outstanding and he is a more complete and influential player. Keep him fit and for the hell of it we might not just challenge for European places this year, we may also be in the title race.

Tiresias
He's inconsistent in a broad sense but is on a good run of form now. When he's playing well the whole team plays well, his long periods injured or out of form last season was one one of the main reasons we had a torrid time last season. He lifts the team and takes games by the scruff of the neck, and when we replace him we are going to have to look hard to find a player of his calibre. He also papers over the cracks in our strikers not firing by scoring vital goals. I do rate Anita a lot but anyone who thinks he's going to slip into his shoes is wrong, Anita is a lovely player but totally different.

Yorkie
Obviously we won't win the title but the sentiment is right. The Premier League is all over the place this year and the top 4 has sent an invitation to at least 8 teams - we're definitely one of them. Can't believe some of the results we've picked up this season, it's generally been class so far.

Magpie
Chances of him being gone in January? Showing more than ever he's our most important player and his performances for France in their play off games against Ukraine won't have gone unnoticed. Possible suitors willing to make a move in the hope his performances maintain or even improve leading up to the World Cup? Mind you I'm still struggling to see where he would fit in at any of the so called bigger clubs.
Yorkie
It would be fucking gutting if he left now. If it happened in the summer I would still be disappointed but could live with it, providing he keeps up this excellent form. You'd hope the footballer in him would like to see out the rest of the season, especially if we invest in January. There's a very real chance of getting into the Champions League.
