Not to keen on Trafford, heā€™s so weak coming for crosses. He does have a lot of strengths mind, very good with his feet. Would have to back Howe to improve him the way he has Hall, Gordon etc.

Agree but one thing is heā€™s 22, very young for a keeper. Ā And heā€™s had the benefit of playing regularly for a few years now so will only get better youā€™d thinkĀ

Itā€™s weird Pickford has never been strongly linked with say Man U or spurs. Maybe a relegation would force his hand but seems happy enough to plod along at Everton, then look good every two years in an international tournament. Iā€™d take him for the fume alone.Ā

Traffords stats in the Championship are incredible this season;

Ā

Games played: 25

Goals Conceded: 9

Goals conceded per 90: 0.4

Clean Sheets: 16

Save Percentage: 85%

Goals prevented: 6.9

GK is a position we really need to get a grip of like, appreciate Vlach was a PSR workaround but the recent signings seem all over the place. Ā Need to settle on our long term keeper and move a few outĀ

Eh?

He was strongly linked with Spurs for about 3 years. According to Pickfords mates in Washington, a deal was even verbally agreed.

Canā€™t believe he is 6ft 6ā€. Plays like heā€™s 5ft 10ā€ whenever Iā€™ve seen him.Ā
Ā

Stuck record. But to get a keeper as good as Pope who can ping it about like Dubravka, or better, even. Will cost a lot of money.Ā
Ā

I suppose a balance could be had. A keeper who isnā€™t as good at certain aspects. But is so much more confident on the ball means we concede less chances, have more control of the game, another player to help bypass a press etc etc.Ā

Ā

Basically, what Dubravka has done since coming back in (along with other changes that have helped). Not really had a decent chance to save since being back. But weā€™ve barely given up any chances along with some shit finishing by the opposition whoā€™ve missed the target.
Ā

Fair argument to say Dubravka has been a part of us giving up less chances. Along with game state and opposition played, Tonali at 6 etc.Ā

Traffordā€™s not 6ā€™6ā€, more like 6ā€™2ā€. Classic goalie height padding.

My Burnley mate measured him once. 6ā€™3.5ā€.Ā

Then weirdly Pope is listed 3 or 4 inches shorter than he is. Heā€™s a shade shorter than Burn.Ā

Popeā€™s just so humble. Defo 6ā€™5ā€“6ā€™6

Pickford here just wouldn't feel right let's be honest.

Bracewell, Howey, Waddle, Venison etc ā€¦ even Milburn - we never had a problem with signing boyhood Sunderland supporters in the past.

Ā

Granted, none of those had went on like right knackers on social media, so there is that :)Ā

This is just wrong, not sporting at all, muppets like Connor McGregor created this type of behaviour, and these little wannabee youtube clowns have taken it too far now.

Ā

Needs banning.

Yeah, itā€™s the result of lad banter going too far.

In saying this, if you hang around with cunts who like to act like cunts to other people, donā€™t be surprised when they act like a cunt to you.

Ā

The thing is, Wayne Bridge only boxed to keep fit after he retired. He then did a boxing match with Spencer Matthews for sporting relief with all money going to charity. Bridge looked great in the fight, but it was a long time ago.

Ā

I have respect for that, but not the way its going.

Ā

He's definitely in on it.

Ā

And he'll be getting a lot of money out of it.
