Has he partnered Moussa Sow in the Senegal team before? Now that pairing here could be wankathonpotentialtastic.

Don't know about that but Senegal actually produce some damn good strikers. Demba Ba, Moussa Sow, Papis Cisse, Diomansy Kamara and Mamadou Niang to name a few...

EXCITING

I am really happy with this. I didn't expect him to have a good season with West Ham, but he was great for them, scored 7 goals.

He is really quick (and quick to react), ...and "hungry" to score goals, ...and big, strong & tall, so important to have both in attack and defence when it's free kicks and corners.

And then we have his knee... don't think it will be a problem (well, obviously I don't know), I've played football for about 16 years, got a knee injured, 15 months out - back on the pitch and..

Can't wait to see him on the pitch! Good addition to the squad!

love that interview and the way he says Newcastle  :smitten: i was so impressed by the Cabaye signing that i thought he'd be our best signing of the summer, but now i think it could be Ba. that can only be good news.

Cabaye and Ba speak of the plans this club has and even though selling Nolan, Barton and Enrique is a hammer-blow....i believe this giant risk can pay off: a new team, new formation, new style, new ambitions. if we sign players with a winning mentality to go with their talent, something great could be happening (until tomorrow when something awful happens again)
