I wish Harry Knadsack would just hurry up and burst into a quivering mess so he can should his malformed trap. He looks like something out of The Thing. Fuck Spurs man. Piss me off now end...I wish Kurt Russell would come along and flamethrow the lot of them.

If Chelsea sign Hulk to replace Drogba they won't be after Demba, Spuds & PSG are the mean threat, would rather it was PSG if he did go.

Why would Hulk be replacing Drogba when they play in different positions?

These last few pages have made me sad. Still can't comprehend how anyone would be indifferent with Ba leaving. I, for one, would be quite gutted if he left.

Ba should look at the 'success' that others have had since leaving for so called 'bigger clubs' over the past few years.

There's a big difference: Nolan and Barton are ok, but limited players while Ba is a fucking beast with excellent allround play who will score goals in his new club too.

I don't think he was referring to Nolan and Barton considering the "so called bigger clubs" comment.  Carroll and Enrique would be my guess.

Well exactly I assume he's there so Torres can be up front and they can still score

For all his muscles is he a good header?

Not sure why so many people think he'll flop? Seems a very Chelsea player

I think that's exactly why they bought him, with Torres struggling to score goals and Mata and Hazard more creators that goalscorers.

They wanted someone who would score goals and believe me he will.

Yeah i dont think he will flop either infact i think he will be a great success, but lets see.

Ah.. the bigger clubs comment....Didn't see that... Argument still stands though, Enrique is a stupid cunt who can't create something in attack if his life depended on it.. :)

Hulk is'nt a striker..... he's a winger that scores goals.

If Chelsea play Hulk as a CF they want shooting as it takes away from pretty much all of his best traits.

He's more of a right sided forward imo.

Basically yeah, but saying winger is just an easy cop out for me

Carroll was 'a fucking beast with excellent allround play who will score goals in his new club too' when he left.  Sebastien Bassong was one of the most promising centre-halves I've seen at the club, Habib Beye transferred himself from being a legend at a club to a reserve player within months and Michael Owen.  Well he was going to be a wanker for every club he ever played for.

Demba Ba facing decision day at Newcastle United

by Lee Ryder, Evening ChronicleJun 11 2012

The Magpies are hoping to put an end to the uncertainty in time for the start of pre-season training in order to push on with their transfer business – with TWO new strikers thought to be under consideration.

As ever United are keeping their cards close to their chest when it comes to incoming faces. However, FC Twente star Luuk De Jong and Montpellier man Olivier Giroud are still thought to be on Newcastle’s hit-list.

Senegal international Ba has yet to notify the Magpies of a decision on his future.

It is widely known that Ba’s contract contains a £7m release clause which can be activated until July 31 – after which time Newcastle can then demand whatever fee they wish for the 16-goal star. But the Chronicle understands that United want to know exactly what Ba – targeted by Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea – plans to do before Alan Pardew’s squad regroup for pre-season training on July 5.

The striker must also report to the club’s Benton base in the days building up to pre-season for routine fitness testing.

Ba has so far been non-committal when it comes to talk on his future at St James’s Park – yet United would like an answer sooner rather than later so they can push on with their summer transfer plans.

Indeed, Magpies chiefs do not want the scenario to drag on through pre-season and face a repeat of last summer when Jose Enrique sulked for almost eight weeks before finally joining Liverpool.

It is believed they have big plans when it comes to strikers in the coming months – if they can get the men on their shortlist.

Indeed, United not only have a contingency plan to replace Ba should he quit but also bring in another new face in the striking department to bolster Pardew’s Europa League bound squad.

The Toon boss has already sanctioned the release of Denmark international Peter Lovenkrands and Leon Best has been made surplus to requirements, while Nile Ranger will be sold to the first team that produce the right cash bid.

Even if Ba does decide to stay, Pardew has concerns over the winter

months – a period which could see him denied the services of both Ba and hotshot Papiss Cisse when they travel to South Africa for the African Cup of Nations next January and could be missing for up to six weeks.

United were fortunate last January that both Ba and Cisse returned long before the tournament ended due to Senegal’s woeful performances in the group stages.

FC Twente striker De Jong has gone public on his future over the weekend and said: “If something very attractive comes along, then I’ll consider it.

“No matter what happens playing at Twente has been a wonderful experience.”

Meanwhile, United must also wait to see if their bid for Vurnon Anita will be accepted.

The Chronicle first reported United’s interest in Dutchman back on May 19.

The 23-year-old Ajax star was scouted several times by both Pardew and chief scout Graham Carr last season.

Anita is still on holiday but Harry Lulofs, the player’s agent, said: “Newcastle have been watching him for a long time and really want to sign him.”
