Demba Ba (now retired)

The issue is quite simple. free transfer plus pay as you play element to the contract means a low insurance bill. If a club wants to pay the 7m and match the terms Ba would ask for, then the insurance fee will rocket presuming that the insurance payments are set to a high percentage of the fee accrued by a club for Ba over the duration of the contract.

Say insurance figure for Ba after his poor medical is 20 percent of what we pay.

At a 30,000 a week basic pay for three years plus 2m agent fee that is 1.3m insurance fee.

Now for Ba to be willing to leave he wants a 4 year contract at 50000 a week basic pay, plus 3m for his agent. We get 7m. That makes an insurance bill of 4m.

Word soup.

To say what has probably already been said 1000 times, Harry Redknapp is a hypocrite with a very silly face, to put it mildly. He threw his toys about the pram when Chelsea discussed Modric in public, now he thinks it's OK to talk about Ba. Pipe down 'Arry you fucking tosser.

He was doing the exact same with Cahill & Samba today, surely a north east journalist with no relationship to Spurs could question him on it without the worry of that cutting ties with them

Erdinc + £10m?  Does tie in with FMA and Dekka being in Paris the other day and the sudden renewed interest in Erdinc.

:sadnod:

The timing scares the shit out of me tbh, our revamped interest in a player we seemingly did away with coincides horribly with Ba's suitors. Got a nasty feeling he's going to go this window.

Look I fully understand that Harry redknapp is probably the least trustworthy man in football and doesn't conduct himself in the best of manners but you're directing your hate/abuse at the wrong person. If there is a release clause then your board have made one of the most ridiculous decisions in modern day football. Why the fuck would a premier league club agree to put such a low release clause for a player that's playing for a team a division below. Being held to ransom by a player playing for a bigger club is one thing but who agrees to putting a release clause of a player that's just come from a relegated team? Actually who else in the premier league actually has a release clause.

Get Alan Oliver to do it, he writes for The People now so it's not as if his work contains any facts or sources. He can afford to upset the man who needs an iron mask.

I think you're missing the point. He shouldn't be talking about other teams players. He does it all the time, hence the abuse.

Now fuck off back to the spurs boards.

Thanks.
