Colocho
Marveaux isn't a centre midfielder. He would struggle there, especially against physical sides.

Colocho
Marveaux isn't a centre midfielder. He would struggle there. Righto Are you forgetting who we were playing last night? He'd be dominated at centre midfield in the Prem. Can see him operating well off of the striker, but he is not made to play as a holding midfielder... Nobody
Very promising performance last night, will excel alongside Ben Arfa. Tioté Cabaye Marveaux Ben Arfa Jonas More potential than we've fielded for years. How it should be, with Obertan being able to fill in for either of the front three should he need to. Hasn't he played like 3 seasons as a midfielder in a 4-3-3. He'll cope.

No, but from what I have seen of him, he is a winger/attacking midfielder.

His ball retention under pressure was very good, also closed down well and wasnt afraid to get stuck in. Just a thought.

I think the question was aimed at me, and yes, that would be me. I was going to put Ba in up front, but then I thought of Bent. It brought up a lot of memories, so I went straight to bed instead. AyeDubbleYoo
He looked far, far better wide than in the centre to me like.
Yorkie
Worth baring in mind that it was a much narrower pitch than most Premier League grounds.
fredbob
Worth baring in mind that it was a much narrower pitch than most Premier League grounds. Good point. Will be interesting seeing him with a bit of space to work in when he's in advanced positions, didnt really have the beating of his man yesterday. Still very happy with this lad, excellent addition. Credit to Graham Carr for unearthing another gem to add to his collection of tiote and cabaye....
AyeDubbleYoo
It did look congested all over the pitch at times, nobody had much time on the ball.

toontownman
Shame he didnt get on the pitch today. If the Scunthorpe game is anything to go by he would have added alot. His willingness to spread the ball and pick out passes would have helped us out. Have high hopes for him, although I am not sure where he will slot in. Maybe replacing Obertan, although he is improving and Jonas needs to start imo.
