Guest Heneage
Come on, he's made a decent point about Welbeck, who looked very ordinary in his cameo appearances for Man U, but a different proposition with a run of first team games. It could well be the same for Obertan. Same question as before, who would he replace in our XI to get this run of games? He could be on the bench and get a run of games. Mick has a mate who supports Manchester United and sends somewhat less than creative text messages. I am shocked. What was your flatmates response? Beckford. Don't be a hypocrite Otter. Ginola
While he's obviously not a world beater, I think he'll be a decent signing. From what I've seen he's had a good pre-season for Man Utd this year and could make a decent impact given the chance. Not over the moon about it, but he should be decent enough. nufcjmc
we keep saying we want bodies in so we dont fall back on ryan taylor, smith etc when everyone is out if he is better than them (is he I dont know?) if he is then great they move further down the pecking order and if not I really hope he wasnt plan Z
IceMag
Not really impressed if this goes through, but I'm more than willing to give the lad a chance. At least he adds depth to the squad.

Even if he starts out as a bench player I'm pretty sure at some point due to injuries/suspensions/players being sold, etc. he'll get a good run of games. Don't think we really need to be worrying about that.
Stifler
He would be a decent squad player, a replacement for Routledge really. If Barton goes then we need someone who can come in instantly and do the job, but at the moment we are still weak in other areas and I hope we don't forget that. Mick
I hope he's not one of the two "Blue Chip" players Pardew was wanting to sign, if not then this is a bonus if he works out and little loss if he doesn't.

Guest Recoba
Good enough for Man U and good enough for us are different levels. This one is more Simpson than Smith. Happy as we need more pace and wide options. Also could provide backup for the HBA role. What have RMC reported about us before? Is the player currently injured? Karjala
No doubt he'll quickly get his chance when our injuries start building up 3 or 4 games in.

furney89
While this is a good way to bump up the numbers and the bench, pardew has said he want s one or two players in, and if this is one of them its very underwheling. Yeah he will be a decent squad member, but will from what I've seen he wouldn't offer us much different. I just hope we can bring in more players who will be an upgrade on what we have, which I realise is difficult since there Iis not a lot available. I just don't want us to sign anyone simply to appease the pressure on the board by fans and players to sign players. I'll support anyone in a black and white shirt so I'm hoping this lad does well

Doctor Zaius
If he was good enough,Fergie wouldnt be letting him go. Bwahahahahahahaha What a great argument. It's true though. Yeah there's exceptions, but it's not often Ferguson lets a young player who's worth his salt go unless his hand is forced like. Forlans a fair point but he was an expensive flop, something Obertan isnt. Rossi is afiar one, but didnt he want a way for first team football he wasnt going to get at man utd? Same as Pique? Elliottman
What I would like to ask a lot of people on this boeard who have decided to judge, one way or the other, exactly how many times have you seen this guy play? Would love to get a honest response.
Stifler
The problem is we have been hurt too many times by player we have bought from Man Utd. Butt and Smith are players we never want to see a repeat of.
