Guest ThievingMagpie
Can someone just bundle him up and fire him off into the sun? We sorely need a proper left winger so we can shift Jonas to the right or something for fuck's sake. It's embarassing that our right flank is so inept while our left flank, the one with an inverted fullback and an inverted winger are absolutely bossing it. Hanshithispantz
He isn't a scapegoat, he's just shit. No one is blaming him for the defeat yesterday, because it wasn't his fault, he was however shit and has been pretty much 90% of his time here. Filflop1
His involvement or lack of it in spurs first goal should have him dropped to the bench for the next match alone disgrace
Guest firetotheworks
Lost the ball and then ran 80 yards to give it away again. At least he's committed to being shit.
Dr Venkman
He's shite. The biggest problem with him though is Pardew doesn't fancy HBA, if that's the case we should bring someone in he does like the look of because Obertan's never doing anything here. Has the potential but doesnt have any balls or a brain.

aye remember that. i seem to remember the 2nd time he lost it was because he tried to do a back-heel about 10 yards from the byline. clown.
TheGuv
But he tries every now and again! And oh he came off the bench in the 88th minute against tired legs and one of the worst teams in the league and scored. Oh bravo. He also did a bit of running against Villa and looks like he'll try and tackle. He shouldn't be a scapegoat. He's playing ahead of his compatriot who only has 7 caps and is a better player. But hey its okay because he won't lose the ball in an attacking position because he doesn't have the balls to attack a defender. He really does try. God bless him. Mick
Upgrade on Routledge, they said. Â Routledge offers more than Obertan and I now know why my Man U supporting mate sent me a text when we signed him which contained noting more than a load of ha ha's, he was right. Remind me how many goals did Routledge score for us last season? For that reason alone Obertan is an upgrade.

For that reason alone Obertan is an upgrade.  This season while we have had 1 goal from Obertan, Routledge has scored the same in less starts. Routledge has 4 assists to the 3 Obertan has for us. Guest neesy111
Wasn't a fan of Routledge, but he's better than Obertan. No doubt about that. Obertan is a waste of a squad place.

Which makes him even more infuriating given the fact he never looked like doing half of that for us. He refused to try and beat people and it was like watching a different player compared to his form in the Championship. Obertan might be frustrating but I've more faith in him than I did in Routledge who looked scared when he took to the pitch for us.

Routledge had everything to become a decent winger and you're right he didn't do enough, I still don't see an upgrade in Obertan, I've seen more negatives than positives with Obertan. Guest BooBoo
Both Routledge and Obertan seem to have massive confidence issues.
Hanshithispantz
Wayne's problem was that he seemed to lack confidence in taking on his man, Gabby's is that he has no footballing brain at all. Atleast when the ball came to Routledge he could move it on effectively without breaking down play.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
He looked an upgrade in his first few months as he gave us genuine balance in a better way than Routledge did.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
Routledge doesn't make the Swansea first 11. Obertan is useful to bring on as an impact sub. I wouldn't start him. If not Ben Arfa we need a new right winger (it hasn't helped that Marveaux has been injured most of the time). Tranquillo Barnetta on a free in the Summer perhaps?
