Lush Vlad
His crossing is generally very good Is it? I honestly can't think of many 'crosses' that have come to anything from him bar Stoke away. He also got an assist vs Bolton away and against Bordeaux, but that was from rolling it along the floor. My main problem with him is that his final ball/cross is usually so poor. He gets in some really good positions, but we usually end up with a corner at best.
aussiemag
Id rank him near the best in the squad for crossing. 1. Ryan Taylor, 2. Shane Ferguson, 3. Hatem Ben Arfa, 4. Gabriel Obertan. Hes had limited opportunities bar the start of last season. Judging him on this season, I think his cross and wing product has been very good. Guest Howaythetoon
He had a fantastic game but it is no coincidence that his better displays have mainly been in cup games where the tempo is generally much slower, the opposition not as strong and the physical demands not as taxing. He used his main and somewhat only asset to great effect last night, his pace. He also took his goal very well. Can he do it in the Premier League? I don't think he can. He would do well enough back in France or some other league. Id be reasonably happy to see his first-team opportunities restricted or limited to Euro and cup games personally as I feel he shouldn't get anywhere near the first-team for League games. Mick
Obertan played well and I'm pleased for him, after Ferguson he was the player that stood out for me.
Tiresias
Id rank him near the best in the squad for crossing. 1. Ryan Taylor, 2. Shane Ferguson, 3. Hatem Ben Arfa, 4. Gabriel Obertan. Ben Arfa is no good for crosses from wide but he's brilliant at finding the head of Ba or Cisse chipping from edge of box
Dr Venkman
He's piss poor this lad.

oldtype
Did some pretty decent stuff and some absolutely cringeworthy stuff. To be fair, even "mixed bag" is a significant improvement for this guy.
Dave
The most depressing thing is that after he came on he was probably our main attacking threat. The only one moving.
Yorkie
The disparity in performances between Brugges/Bordeaux and today is absolutely staggering. He's got the mental stability of a four-year-old; if you bring him into a match which is in the balance and the crowd is anything less than roaring - he's a fucking wreck. Embarrassed for the guy tbh, he can't handle the Premier League.
Guest pintofscottsellers
He's god awful simple as that.
Ketsbaia
It infuriates me that this man is a professional footballer. Especially for us, the same club that gives Hatem Ben Arfa.

Kanj
He is by far the most frustrating player to watch given he has the mental stability of a child. My goodness.
SiLvOR
Fergie should have come on instead of him. Peculiar decision by Pardew, surely he can see the lad isn't the most confident of players? Not the right game to throw him in to, what with the crowd on edge and players looking shaky.
JH
Just waiting for the fans to get blamed for his poor showing again... Cisse showed him up with his running/closing down.
henke
He's a fucking coward. It's astonishing that a player as timid as him can get anywhere near the premier league. It's like watching Sheila off Shameless trying to play football.
Dr Venkman
I'm not even buying this 'good games in Europe' thing tbh, it's the same as when Simpson played that game against Chelsea a while back. There's a difference between putting in a good performance and just not being totally shit.
Pilko
He can't even get the basics right; positioning, closing down, passes under 5 yards in a straight line and so on. He's hopeless.

Jack Flash
Awful decision to bring him on in that environment. Pardew must have known he'd freeze.
