midds
If we're level after 20 minutes I think we'll get something out of the game. Go behind early and I think we'll capitulate a bit and lose by a few. They're definitely favourites.

J7
If we had a left back in and a decent striker, I would be pretty happy. However we look pretty toothless at the moment. Not looking forward to the game, not that they're anything special.
AliGupter
9am start in town, metro down at 10.45. Woop. I cant say I really enjoy these games but I'd still not want to miss them. Last year's home game was a rare chance when you can actually relax during the match. 5/6am start for us, go hard or go home.

Guest Haris Vuckic
It would be class if Steven & Ryan Taylor scored & then Sammy banged one in at the end. ''O'Brien,O'Brien'' ''Taylor,''Taylor'' ''Ameobi,Ameobi'' We'd have a set list!
binnsy
Just imagine Saylor scoring at the away end in the 94th minute to make it 0-1, cheering before sprinting half way around the pitch to their end and showing "5-1" with his fingers But anyway, where in town is open at 8am or 8.30am? Do any/all casinos serve drink at all times? Don't know about all casinos but aspers is open 24/7, we went there before the game last season for about 7am and it was waitress service then the bar opened "proper" at 8am. No chance, will be in bed maybe 9pm on Friday night. Maybe a few years ago I could do that, but not now. Also, Grosvenor casino is definitely 24/7, fairly certain Circus is too. Beren
Any chance Ferguson could be back for this?
Dave
Bloody hope so, even though I'm far from convinced he's a capable fullback.
Beren
Larsson doesn't have any real pace, so Ferguson/Gutierrez could do quite well running down their right and keeping them pegged back IMO. Defensively... well, can't be a great deal worse than our other makeshift LBs.

Guest johnson293
From NUFC on Twitter... NUFC XI 5 G'head XI 0 (60mins) A strong Magpies side including Sam Ameobi, Vuckic, Marveaux & Ranger 3 up at HT, then scored 2 in a minute. So, Marveaux may be available this weekend too. AlanSkÃrare
Looking forward to this immensly, superb way to start the campaign. A win would give me so much hope for this season.
worthy
Fucking nervous about this match, we have no new striker, no new LB. Fucking scary shit going in to the match with no tooth or bite in the strikers department.
Guest johnson293
Would love the win (obviously), but would be happy enough with a draw. If it is to be a draw though, hopefully it'll be us with a late, equaliser this time.

Wilson
1st time i'll have been to the SOS on saturday, never been to an away game where we've won (darlo aside)...this is obviously going to be when my luck changes
