Sunderland 0 - 1 Newcastle United - 20/08/11 - post-match reaction from page 50

We were canny poor like, our sharpness isn't there, there didn't seem to be any real plan, Obertan looked lost. They played the better passing game to be fair, the first half their football was the best ootball played all game. They looked better organised and more balanced.

Still.

I agree, we didnt look sharp at all but still owned them so... imagine us at our best :)

Completely missed the second half as dog had to go to vets.

Was there a big difference in performance after the shite we served up in the first?

not really. We did take control after we had scored, but it only lasted for around 10-15 mins, then it was either scrappy or Sunderland making efforts on goal in vain. The smb were getting so restless.... brilliant. :smug:

Our defence has been amazing in the first two games, Coloccini and Steven Taylor have been fantastic.

Improved a helluva lot in the second half like. Ropey and ball-watching in the first... steely, solid and organised in the second.

One of the worst offensive performances from a newcastle side ive seen for years and we still fucking won!! haha

Professor Colocho of Essex University, an expert on North-East tribes, said that everyone in the North-East shared the same DNA!

can't disagree with that, been the one bright spot in our performances. think without them, and i'd include Krul in there too, we'd not have picked up the two results we've had so far.
